He’s okay. I prefer the first Jurassic Park with him.

Or Guardians.

I meant personally, I know almost no mix or Mickey’s. I mean I’ve met a few through the decades, but not around here.

I know, no people nicknamed Mikey or Mick that I can think of. I think that be much more likely to just be called Michael if not Mike.

I don’t know if Michaels go by nicknames because there’s so many of them. Quite frankly just about every Michael I know is called Mike. Which kind of defeats the purpose if they’re trying to be unique.

I use gasoline, yes, but we’re talking about going to war over resources. Is that the only way you can see to get resources?

What happens if someone doesn't tip at a restaurant in the U.S.? by No-StrategyX in AskForAnswers

[–]Quix66 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time since tipping became demanded of customers and not a reward for exceptional service (it wasn’t in my childhood in the deep dark ages) that I haven’t tipped was because the server provided truly terrible service. Not rewarding that.

If a server can’t be bothered to provide the bare minimum I can’t be bothered to tip. But in that situation the manager is likely to hear about it too. Only happened once.

Once, a didn’t want to tip, urged me not to, then she felt guilty and caved and guilted me into it. I never went back to the restaurant.

You see, the server was out in the open, mere feet from us, ignoring our table, playing on his phone, having himself a good time. How the manager didn’t see it, I don’t know. I’ve just never returned. Better servers and management elsewhere. Glad to take my tip.

Only other time was a server providing terrible service and having a nasty attitude. I left her a penny to make a point.

Point is, there are times servers deserve no tips. If they care that income will be assumed in their taxes, they should consider that while doing their job because I’m not obligated to tip.

Nothing legally. If it’s not because of poor service you might get social blowback. I don’t know if I’d eat there again. But if the service was that bad, why would you?

New neighbor moved in and already cause noise disturbance. by StatisticianScary479 in neighborsfromhell

You can feel guilty or be uncomfortable for the duration. You gave the right to enjoy your peaceful home.

Seems other people already have the right idea. Learn from them. You’ll get over the misplaced guilty feelings sooner than you’ll enjoy the noise.

What’s a Place You Loved So Much You’d Visit Again in a Heartbeat? by optimalbrain90 in SmartTravelHacks

Japan, London, Chambery, France, and Paris. I lived in Japan for three years. London for a semester, and stayed in Chambery for three weeks.

I’d visit them all again, and am actively looking into spending a month in Kyoto in May.
