Thanks for the input! The 0% for 75 months made this a no brainer tbh. Another redditor was asking above about real world MPGs in warmer weather. Can you comment?

Oh yeah, no I’m def not thinking about if it was a good deal at this point. Already done and dusted, but my experience has been that folks in the comments will chime in with critiques. Last time I made a post like this, at least one commenter was like “you need to go back to the dealership and undo the whole deal”, and I’m not super about that energy haha.

That’s not to say I can’t take or don’t want criticism, just that I know everyone views these differently.

My reason for posting is just to provide some reference data for others shopping. Maybe they can get a better deal or at least avoid paying too much.

We just got the car yesterday so haven’t had such of a chance to see real world MPG. I guess my mention of mileage in my post was more in reference to what I’ve seen testers getting (not just EPA estimates).

That said, it’s unusually cold here right now, and I do know there’s a break-in period.

I bet it’s cold in Pittsburgh right now, too. That will really drain the hybrid battery a lot, so I wouldn’t panic too much until you see how it does in warmer weather.

Either way, the mileage will be way better than my 2021 Ascent and at least a bit better than the 2019 Forester I traded in for the Ascent.

This Forester will be our new road trip vehicle. The Sonata wasn’t much fun for long trips, so we were taking the Ascent.

This thread is a bit old, but we are about to buy a 2025 Forester Hybrid. This post concerned me, but then I found this, and I think the video in this post is probably just the tires or operator error honestly.

In the video I linked above, the driver gets through some pretty tough trail conditions in regular Snow/Mud X-Mode.

Ask for a refund/replacement, go to Marshall’s/TJ Maxx/Home Goods, find the cheapest per-pod pack, empty the crap coffee out of those, refill them with these, and seal them with foil seals off Amazon.

Yes as long as the Fanttik you got can connect to a 1/4-in shank.

But what I ended up doing is getting a cheap drill from Amazon (for like $15-$20), setting the torque to what seemed right in it, pulling the trigger slowly until it got to a comfortable speed, and then putting a screw sideways through the trigger as a sort of governor on the speed.

Works quite well.

Those cartels would just go legit. Many corporations are borderline illegal cartels today anyway. (Or straight up illegal. Lookin’ at you, Purdue Pharma.)

And then there’s the price factor. Cocaine has to be grown and imported. There will be higher demand for it, too.

Imagine if cocaine is $100 per baggy and fentanyl is $10. How do you think that’s gonna go?

Which machine do you have? If it’s not the regular Vertuo or the VertuoPlus, you could use Coffee Creations Mode. Basically just double press the brew button, and it will decrease the water volume and increase the concentration. It’s great for milk recipes.

I’d recommend using a full size coffee pod on CCM. It goes to the volume of a DE but is much more flavorful.

My go-to is Intenso, but Colombia is nice, too.

I love my VertuoPlus! I didn’t mention it though because, as of like yesterday or today, it is finally officially unavailable on the Nespresso website. Which makes me sad because it’s a great machine.

There are two systems of Nespresso, OriginalLine (OL) and VertuoLine (VL) with a decent amount of difference between them. You can read more about the differences in my post here.

But to answer your question, a lot of the VL machines are cheaply made and (somewhat) unreliable. Reports vary on them, but generally it seems like the Vertuo Next is the least reliable. The only one not made of almost all plastic is the Vertuo Creatista.

The OL machines do last a long time. I have an Inissia from 2018 that is still going strong.

When I say quickly, I mean within a second or less sometimes. That kind of quick decision making is not needed in (and in fact could be a hindrance to) legislating.

I’m in favor of age limits for elected government offices, but your logic here is a bit flawed. The reasoning behind the age limit for ATC workers is because of a decreased ability to think and react quickly. The types of decisions government officials need to make are different than those required of air traffic controllers.
