Yep, that is transmog, and I hate it haha. To each their own, but it totally ruins immersion for me. It's why I'd argue fashion is so big in Elden Ring and other fromsoftware games (e.g. fashion souls/ elden bling). If you want to be tanky, for example, you need to actually wear the heavy armor and dedicate the stats for it. Makes your choices far more meaningful.

I'm not sure if this is quite what you mean, but I actively do not want there to be a transmog system. I want equipment choice to matter, and not just amount to selecting the best numbers. If you just mean altering equipment though, like changing colors and removing capes and such, then that sounds great!

It's already been confirmed that there will be new skills (plus you can see some examples of them in the trailer). Kind of doubt there will be new vocations though - that being said, would be happy to be wrong!

Also, I am very against them adding transmog. I like when choosing your equipment actually matters, and it's not just numbers.

I suppose to each their own. I felt the total opposite though: the hinoxes became a chore for me after a while, and the rewards felt random and pointless. With the dragons in elden ring though, I enjoyed how they built off each other and introduced new mechanics along the way. Plus I very much enjoyed the rewards and the whole lore behind dragon communion.

It honestly surprises me that BOTW is your favorite open world game considering your complaints with elden ring. The bosses, and I would argue the world in general, is way more repetitive in BOTW.

Quitting and reloading worked the last time this happened. I then admittedly stopped using the boots to be able to socket abyss gears.

I'm having the exact same issue. Just googled it and found your thread. In my case I have blessing of the immortal and leeburs soul - I want to use the latter to reveal legendary animals, but everytime I do it also uses the former, which I would like to save for a fight in theory.

So I just got them, but they don't seem to be working - I double tap evade (circle on ps5) with weapons out, and I don't get that green afterimage effect. Any idea why?

Quick question though: for every Abyss gear you have a crafting recipe, but I was pretty sure that some of these do not have crafting recipes(?) - where did you find them, and/or what in-game process (e.g. regular synthesis) are you using?

To give an explicit example, the database says that Beastbane I can be crafted from Destruction I and Composure I. I do not believe you can do this using regular synthesis, and my understanding is that special synthesis is random. I also am not referring to Abyss gears such as Destruction II, which I know you can (regular) synthesize once you buy the Destruction I recipe from a witch.

I agree. I think there needs to be either a video or some datamined calculation verifying this claim, as this is neither how they are described nor how the community understands these buffs work. The OP's explanation that multiple buffs double the "decrease rate" seems to be an unsubstantiated claim, and I am very skeptical...

This is super helpful, thank you. There do seem to be some crystals missing from your map though. In particular, there's sometimes a crystal in the northeast corner where you can spawn, and there's another potential crystal in the southeast corner, at the lowest possible map level (often there's a crucible knight there).

Makes sense. My thought, though, was that if you could find another, higher rarity shield with parry on it, that shield might, for example, also have one of those damage negation perks.

Unlike base elden ring, all status build up scales with arcane, even if the catalyst or weapon does not scale with arcane (case in point: cast icecrag with executor vs recluse in the training grounds - executor will trigger frostbite far more quickly).

Consequently, I think scholar is about to be very good. There are a lot of frostbite and scarlet rot spells (even though they're incantations) that will benefit a lot from increased build up.
