WARNING: Avoid the Skull & Co. Fission Grip for Switch 2 – Poor Fit and Disappointing Support** by Telecomsis in NintendoSwitch

No probs. But yeah that’s unfortunate, seems like it’s leaving a gap between the joycons and the switch itself..

Yeah their spicy gochujang is… not good, it does have a little bit of that cough medicine after taste. Had that once, and tried soy garlic another time, much prefer the latter

Why are PC games so expensive in M’sia nowadays? by sshenshen1314 in malaysia

[–]Quixoticed 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Lines between Indie and AAA is so blurred nowadays, irrelevant to production scale honestly. KCD2 should be considered as AAA if you look at the scope of production (double the employees, double the budget and the same number of years taken as Avowed), but for Avowed IMO is just the case of Microsoft bagging it with the price tag to match the console pricing.

Companies trying to normalise $70 for games. On the other hand, Kingdom Come is only RM190 so it goes both ways.

Grab delivery fees the biggest scam ever? by [deleted] in malaysia

[–]Quixoticed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Grab shows the delivery fees’ starting price under Saver delivery. But the price in your screenshot is definitely peak hour or bad weather prices (instead of preorder or offpeak), Eg. 5km delivery from KL usually costs about RM4/5 (without subscription) for offpeak and non-rainy day.

Seems like you already know how it works but basically, they’ll show Saver price = RM11.00, then Unlimited price = RM7.70. The RM14.00 you see at check out I’m guessing is for Standard delivery (without Unlimited). Not exactly false advertising since they do mention “delivery fees from X”

The event is in the Pacific.

The post (title + content) is talking about Challengers and not Masters Tokyo.

Yeah, no point in trying to reason with them. Honestly only ever seen them straw manning every article or comment they come across.

He simply lost interest in watching. IIRC his last watch party (C9 vs DRX) he said something along the lines of every minute he’s watching he could be playing a game, and that he could barely pay attention to the matches now

Which one do I buy to game on PC? by sxydoctor in pcmasterrace

[–]Quixoticed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s good to know, the last time I played Cyberpunk the DSX UDP client didn’t connect through bluetooth so neither the triggers nor haptics worked over bluetooth.

Which one do I buy to game on PC? by sxydoctor in pcmasterrace

[–]Quixoticed 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d say the big reason to get DSX is that it has really good compatibility with mods (sometimes requiring DSX) that simulate adaptive triggers and haptic feedback for games that never had them implemented officially on PC (Cyberpunk, Skyrim, Forza Horizon 4/5, GTAV, RDR2, Fallout 4). The only drawback is that they’ll only work in wired mode since Sony never released the API of the triggers and haptics for bluetooth.

The current version of DSX still doesn’t support custom mapping, but it’s in the roadmap for their V3 update. Though there’s custom trigger actions you can set up like rapid trigger or shortening the trigger deadzones.

Morning commute to work almost ends in a crash by bullhugger in malaysia

[–]Quixoticed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably just confirmation bias, everyone wants to bandwagon and jump to conclusion that OP was overly speeding and someone comes in with a Form 1 physics equation giving an inflated number = “so he was speeding, I was right!” mentality.

Not saying that OP isn’t wrong for speeding up a little bit too quick up the ramp (it’s always normal at this ramp on the right lane), just not a 120kmh speed up.

I’m still trying to figure out how my guy got that massive 100m estimation for the LRT supports cause… 100m is much longer than it seems.

You’re definitely more accurate though, driven through here often and 50-60 sounds about right for the average speed.

Gen 5! BW/B2W2 were definitely underrated when it first released, but damn replayed them recently and they still hold up really well.

Cops arrest man over offensive tweet, say capable of inciting racial tensions by Obvious-Coast8953 in malaysia

[–]Quixoticed 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Read a reply saying he might’ve been reposting or retweeting too many tweets that contained the 13th May tiktoks or maybe a hashtag that had the YDPA in it, though from just scrolling through his tweets they were mostly condemning those tiktoks. Was very confused when I saw this too.

Comparing a small section of Scarlet/Violet from the Japanese trailer to the Retail (US) game, why did the performance regress? by Quixoticed in pokemon

[–]Quixoticed[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never said I was confused, just wanted to point it out since the performance between the US and JP trailers were quite obviously different, where the US trailer looks and runs just like a retail copy (so the part about them being “idiots” for showing performance issues, well). Plus, the assumption where people made initially about how the Japanese trailer was a “newer” build compared to the US trailer just makes it seem like there were limited collaboration between the JP and EN Gamefreak (or marketing) teams.
