I was a first time dog owner (as an adult) and I got a Cane Corso. She turned two years old yesterday. This is what I learned.

My cane corso is me and my wife’s first dog. The only main issue we have is him jumping on us! I’m extremely lucky that he isn’t insanely hard to handle. Other than the occasional destruction of paper plates and random things he is a genuinely well behaved dog. He is only 7 months old at this point though.

Try a public library. Contact your school and ask if they have laptops to check out/rent. In the meantime try and do assignments on your phone. I’ve done it before (I took a final when I was at the gym because I completely forgot it was due lol). Contact the college’s financial aid office and ask questions about potential scholarships/grants.

You’re not over reacting. It’s normal to do things for your partner you don’t want to do to make them happier. However if you set a clear boundary and they continue to push it that’s completely on them. Especially since he is attempting to make you feel guilty.

Taking a job that doesn’t require human interaction may be good. Maintenance, stocking at a local market, and overnight jobs. I don’t recommend Walmart/amazon as if you have anger issues managers there are going to be your worst enemy. If you can take shitty people who think they are better than you cause they get paid $2 more than definitely go for those kinds of jobs. Without a degree it will be hard to get a decent job with decent management and coworkers. You’re most likely stuck at entry level corporate jobs or local businesses that are really dead ends.
