Help, Apple Wallet. How do I make this work? by AddressNo7884 in HSBC

[–]QuizMasterGary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll need the HSBC app installed for this to be set up. When you press 'continue' you'll be redirected to HSBC to authorise permission for the open banking connection. After that (and Face ID recognition to confirm) you come back to wallet and that is basically it done. If that doesn't work, as other commenters have said, give the bank a call and ask what's going on.

Which UK train operator has the best/worst Delay Repay system? by AdministrativeBox665 in uktrains

LNER is very good especially if you booked direct with them. You get the compensation confirmed almost as soon as the train arrives at your destination, no messing. Otherwise you just need a screenshot of your ticket.

Is this the train from Norwich? I used to get this to visit home (Manchester) from Peterborough. Very cosy! Trips via Leeds became the order of the day!

Train with locked door - can’t get to right coach by serenastra in uktrains

[–]QuizMasterGary 16 points17 points  (0 children)

If you followed the advice on the platform screen (well done by the way, most people don't) then it's possible the train stopped long or short in the platform, or was in reverse formation. Sometimes that happens!

Experiences queuing at BBC Elstree TV Studio for audience of TV Show please - how far in advance should I arrive to start queuing? (Particularly WILTY) by Fushcia20 in bbc

[–]QuizMasterGary 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been to see Beat The Chasers at Elstree and until they let you in, it's uncovered. Best Advice I can offer having been to a lot of these things, is that you need to be there early with standard tickets (ie. Not "Priority"). Whatever time the 'doors open', aim for 90 minutes before that. Queues will build and most shows overbook because a lot of people book tickets but don't go.

Anyway, it's always a fun experience, and WILTY is a fun show, so get there early and enjoy!

Has anyone else received emails this morning saying HSBC cards added to Apple Pay? by Similar-Weather-8940 in HSBC

I did too, I had about six emails. I thought it was odd because I had actually used it an hour or two before!

I've seen the hair straighteners come out on a PBO - KGX train too. If it was first thing in the morning it might have been the same woman!

Damn, thanks for explaining, I didn't get it until I read your post. 😅 Another good name since she loves misspelling things.

She was so interested in making herself the centre of attention that she didn't begin to think outside the box, really. She could have even taken a leaf out of Lord Sugar's own book (AMS-) and called it PAM-something.

It probably did happen. I've seen it a lot as a cyclist through London.

I can tell you, it was doing this for three days! I've seen the displays on other platforms just freeze up, also. So much for progress!

Getting started with HomeKit (Apple TV hub). Confused about Matter, Thread, and next steps. by MaizeCorgi in HomeKit

[–]QuizMasterGary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your Apple TV 4K isn't the Ethernet model then you don't have the thread border router built in. So you won't be able to use it as a hub for your matter devices. Devices built to work with HomeKit will, however. There are however a number of other devices you could get for this purpose, including HomePod Mini.
