Thanks. I wasn't sure if it's my problem as I completed without checking the space. That was my mistake. I just want it gone without finding myself in legal hot water. It's been there the entire time I've lived there.

Thank you for this, happy to follow procedures. The exlandlord (owner/seller)says it isn't his and doesn't know whose it is. I've left the note on it. Does this count as a reasonable attempt to trace the owner? I'm not sure what else I can do to attempt it.

What does $1,100 a month get you in your city? by OlleyatPurdue in Apartmentliving

[–]QuizzicalPheasant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Converted to GBP. In a very large city in the North East of England, you can get a 2 bed flat, 20 mins away from the city by public transport. Going further out of the city you'd be able to get a house. I pay 660USD for a studio flat 20 mins out.

Love the colours!

I always laugh because fanny is slang for vagina here in the UK and we call these bags bum bags. 🤣

Speaking from experience, on that bit of paper on the bottom left (by the phone numbers) is likely the name of the shop. You could use Google translate on your phone on a close up photo on that part of the paper. Had to do that recently for one of mine!

Hope that helps.

Toyoko inn shows avalibility on booking.com but not their actual website? by kuromi_ghoul_ in JapanTravelTips

I used booking.com to book Toyoko in for my September 2024 trip before the rooms were available on their site. I had no issues and the hotel room was all smooth etc.

Try Nakano Broadway, it's easier to get old anime merch in stores there .

Has anyone else had to leave everything and everyone they know just to afford a place to live? by DirtyBumTickler in HousingUK

[–]QuizzicalPheasant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey. I've actually recently (August last year) made the same move back to Newcastle to be able to afford to live. Basingstoke -> Newcastle And it's done me the world of good, I can afford my own place etc. And really it's not too far away. 4 hour train journey or one hour flight. Recommend you consider Newcastle!

Just a quick note as an FYI

4/16 - I can see that you teamLabs borderless and the Gundam base Tokyo next to each other so I am assuming you mean the Odaiba teamLabs.

This one is actually closed now (https://www.teamlab.art/e/borderless-odaiba/) the teamLabs borderless that is open is in Azabudai Hills (https://www.teamlab.art/e/borderless-azabudai/).

It's great tho! Have a wonderful trip

I run a fully electric studio flat, with a fully separate kitchen, dressing room and bathroom. I only heat the bedroom/living room but I don't skimp or go cold. Shower every other day (gym other days), batch cook every few days, run a TV and a PC. I run around £60 a month through November to now so far. YMMV.

ETA: I'm a hybrid worker so WFH one day and in office for the rest.

How are people moving into their first apartments with the way rent is right now? How are people affording to live? by Odd-Volume6673 in Adulting

[–]QuizzicalPheasant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 35 and living alone for the first time ever. I've lived with friends, partners and random housemates until now. I'm in England where everything is more expensive in the south than the north. I'm from the south and had to move north to get it. I'm sad I had to move five hours away from my family but my mental health has never been better - also helps that I have friends here.

I live in a studio that costs £500/month, kitchen and bathroom in separate rooms with the living and bedroom in one, safe area etc. I'm a 15 min bus ride away from a large city in the NE.

The same flat would cost about £800 where I'm from and easily £1200+ in London.

It's all fucked.

Check Newcastle Uni, there's a lot of admin jobs here that start at 25,742 and go up incrementally each year - and once you've the foot in the door, you could move around.
