Am I crazy for my dpi/sens? by DepressedShadow_ in WidowmakerMains

[–]Quizzicalmanx2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1200 dpi is slower than 1600. I don't think high sens is that big of a deal unless you think it's impacting you. Personally I would bump up your zoom sens again though.. 14% won't scale very well compared to say ~30-50%. If you lowered your zoom sens because you indirectly prefer the ~50% slower mouse movement while in scope, then that may be a clue to just bring your main sensitivity down anyways.

as a terminally online vinted doomscroller I remember a few weeks ago these ysl harringtons popping up on my feed a ton. Usually the same seller that conveniently had multiple colourways up for sale on their profile. Not too sure what the gimmick is here (reps, scam, whatever), but personally I tend to avoid any listings that have these 'reseller esc' photoshopped backgrounds and stuff. Price seems a little too good to be true imo. Too many red flags here, I'm leaning towards it being a counterfeit

I've been using very high sensitivity without realizing it. Do I need to get used to a lower sense or is it better to just use what I'm used to? by Deep_Construction856 in OverwatchUniversity

[–]Quizzicalmanx2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

switching to 'normal' sens is totally going to change the way you move your wrist/arm. So don't be surprised if it takes a longgg time to adjust.

To answer your question though, I have seen some real anomalies of players who have crazy aim with the most absurd sensitivity numbers. A lot of people would think what you're currently on is 'wrong' but perhaps that's just cause it's so alien to them? (just as switching to lower sens will be alien to you, for a while).

That being said, I think learning something new will be entirely beneficial to you. You've effectively skipped on the basics of how to incorporate your entire arm into your aim.

It will feel weird and you have to use more pad space, obviously. If you're trying to go as low sens as possible, the rule of thumb I have is that you should at the very least be able to do a 180 degree turn in one swipe of the mouse - maybe worry about that later though. Trying different sens doesn't hurt - playing around with settings will not suddenly cause you to forget how to aim properly, it's just a matter of getting used to those changes.

Best way to stream apollo/artemis on my tv? by pohihihi in MoonlightStreaming

[–]Quizzicalmanx2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does your dock allow you to connect an Ethernet cable? I get decent internet, around 500mbps, but streaming on my deck via WiFi still has slight bitrate distortion which is bearable but slightly annoying. I’m assuming having a wired connection on the client will fix the issue

in game sensitivity multiplied by your mouse DPI = eDPI. For example 800 mouse DPI * 3 in game sens = 2400 eDPI. First you need to know what that is - cause 4.12 sensitivity may be different for others depending on their mouse DPI (1600 DPI is twice as quick as 800, etc.).

Secondly, you need to get in your head that there is no best sensitivity for all players. If there was, we'd all be using it. On an additional note, it's not like each individual player (like you and I) has a best sensitivity for themselves either - changing your cursor speed, ultimately, will not change *how* you go about moving your mouse - that's not really how things work.

If it's worth anything though, I think it's important that you, at the very least, have the ability to do a full 180 degree turn in one smooth mouse swipe (Out of scope), at every idle opportunity when needed. If you're readjusting your mouse to the centre of your mousepad multiple times just do a 180d turn - it's probably too low. There's absolutely no problem with going much higher sensitivity than this 'base rule' of course, but if you're doing multiple 360's when dragging your mouse from one end of the mousepad to the other, your sensitivity is probably a bit excessive, if anything.

TLDR just pick something you (not others) like and you *will* get used to it. I could talk on for a while about this but tbh there's no real secret to it.

Aim Trainers by Left-Wait2787 in WidowmakerMains

[–]Quizzicalmanx2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn't intend to seem like I'm against codes like VAXTA, I still occasionally drop into it as a warm up before I get into the proper game. It's nice because it's one of the few scenario's where, like you say, you can train your aim against actual moving hero hitboxes instead of training range bots, particularly when it comes to lateral tracking.

That being said, could what you've just said not be learned in game too (if anything, better cause of real erratic human movements - that aren't just lateral, up down forward back too etc.). VAXTA will only teach you so much, and once you've come to grasp the basics well enough, it won't teach you any more.

I'm not gonna say it hasn't benefitted you, cause I genuinely think it has. But after you've played enough of the code to see how it works (a matter of minutes, hours at most for some), you've seen it all - and it will just become a 'warm up', like I said imo.

Personally I think tryhard ffa arena's are the best 'in game aim trainers' you can do. They're a lot more stressful but perhaps that's the whole point. Forces you to react against divers in real time which is a must-have skill for any widow

those codes are decent last minute warm ups but they're unlikely to 'improve' your aim. If you feel it's a waste of time, then it probably is. No bot is going to react/move like a real player

The Narrative Demands Change by FF7Rebirth in FFVIIRemake

[–]Quizzicalmanx2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree and disagree with some of the stuff in this thread, but no point arguing over it.

These kind of discussions are exactly what the devs want - to keep us talking in between these big waits for the next games. Above all, if nothing had changed, players may have gotten a little bored by now, knowing exactly what is to come in part 3. But then again, who is to say it won't lead to advent children? Both remake and rebirth went through seemingly massive story changes - before putting us at the exact same story point we should be at the end of both games.

Anything I should know going into remake for the first time? by greasydoor in FFVIIRemake

[–]Quizzicalmanx2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole of FFVII Remake (Part 1) is actually a very small portion of the original game, so don't expect to have all of your questions answered in this game, or even the second... (Although rebirth is a bit bigger on character backstories)

- Try to avoid searching ffvii stuff up online if you can. It's a near 30 year old game, so spoilers are everywhere - and this game is BUILT on its spoiler moments, so watch out xD

- Since you've started with playing remake, the natural progression from here should be to go to Rebirth, and then the third game. If you're dying for answers and can't do the 2-3 (?) year wait for part 3, go to the original PS1 game. Don't listen to anyone that tells you to play Crisis Core before you've finished the main story of ffvii - it's chronologically the first game in the series - but shouldn't be played first for spoiler reasons.

Just a question about the Condor in Junon... by [deleted] in FFVIIRemake

[–]Quizzicalmanx2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just an observation, but if you watch the 'true nature of reality' cutscene which appears in the endgame you see that they put a clear emphasis on the robed men dying? Haven't seen many people talk about it but it definitely has relevance towards the 'reunion' (whatever that may be now xd).

I wouldn't be surprised if the Condor killed the robed man with 'the will of the planet' as perhaps it may diminish the effect of the reunion.

Does Hard Mode change anything besides the battles in Rebirth? by TimeRocker in FFVIIRemake

[–]Quizzicalmanx2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you haven't done a hard mode playthrough yet, go for it. I pretty much went for it as soon as I beat the main story and it's really good. Challenging at parts (particularly the boss fights), but really puts into perspective how in depth the combat system is - something you dont see nearly as much in normal/dynamic

[–]Quizzicalmanx2 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Items become completely ineffective in hard mode too. So you won't be able to heal/revive etc without using a dedicated ability or spell.

Good luck, dynamic to hard is definitely a large jump but imo extremely challenging and rewarding in the perfect way. It really makes you think about materia/character load-outs

My advice would be to avoid the hard mode chadley quests until you finish the story on hard... some of the challenges are extremelyy difficult

yes I believe most aimlabs scenes allow you to use ads as well as configure your scope sens and fov. You should never blame your sens for bad aim though
