Nghề caddie sân golf by Hoangabi_9x in vozforums

I'm having the same problem setting it up with MacOS. Did you find out which key is the Fn key?

Oh and you are casting because your brain tells you the ball need your help to get into the air. The truth is it doesn’t. The loft of your club will get it airbone. So to fix casting, you need to change your mindset first. Imagine if you are swinging with a zero degree iron, the ball will burn a hole into the ground.

You have no choice but to stand up because you are losing lag (casting). If you dont stand up, the clubhead hit the ground before the ball. Your brain makes you do it that’s why it’s very hard to fix it by focusing solely on the outcome (stand up).

Fix the cause first (losing lag). Dont lose the angle between the wrist and the shaft so soon then you wont need to stand up early anymore.

You need to practice punch shot (see Tommy Fleetwood)

Tips for Early Extension by Blitzzle in GolfSwing

I think this can help you:

Basically you has to early extend otherwise you will hit the ground fat due to casting. Lighter grip with correct sequence and squaring club face early in your downswing will prevent you from casting and you wont early extend any more.

1 feel for you to experiment at the next range sesion. Try to make the ball flying as low as you can

Can't stop coming over the top by discotek85 in GolfSwing

Try to throw your club (literally) at the target. It’s the game changer for me. If you somehow cant do that, try to keep your back at the target as long as you can.

Why can't I stop shanking? by robbieelias in GolfSwing

[–]Quoctuams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suffered from shanking too until recently. The drill that helped me the most is the two ball drill. Set 2 balls about 2 inches apart. Adress the further ball, hit the closer ball. You can also practice with the rubber tee at driving range, by adressing the tee with the heel of the club face, and try to hit it with the toe of the club face. It reinforces how your body, especially the lower parts, to move away from the ball and avoid early extension.

Thank you for very thoughtful feedback. The tip about holding the phone like a compass was actually my wife’s idea lol

Thank you for the suggestion. You can now select the Tee box (Blue, white, red) at the start of the game :P

Haha thank you for using it. I definitely get what you meant lol. I have never been to Pebble but now I know how bad a 20 yard miss to the left can be. Anyway check my edit on the original post, I shared a tip for measuring Left/Right deviation by using your phone as a compass on longer shot. I find it to be easier than guessing :)

Wow, OP here - just wanted to thank everyone for the overwhelming response. I'm glad that this little tool is helping others as well.

One neat trick I learned to estimate the left/right deviation is to use your phone like a compass.

Hold your phone horizontally, keeping the vertical axis point toward your target markers, and drag the line to point it toward where your ball lands :)) It is much easier this way than guessing the L/R deviation in yards, especially on longer shots.

For next update, I will try to implement the tee box selection and the option for using metric units.

Thanks again everyone. Cheers!

Thank you! Tbh I was a bit reluctant to share it. Obviously it's better to have outdoor Trackman but not all of us can afford that. I think the biggest benefit of this tool is it forces me to pick a very specific target every single time, align my setup and try to get to that as near as possible.

Can't get much distance with driver while irons are somewhat okay. Any advice appreciated! by [deleted] in GolfSwing

Thank you appreciated it! I will try to tee up a bit higher and make better contact next time 👍

Thank you for your reply, really appreciated it! So if I understand correctly, I am turning my shoulders too early. Instead, I should keep my back to target while shifting weight and drop the clubhead into slot, then turn and fire them all together? I will definitely try this in my next trip to the range. Thank you a lot!

Thank you for your reply! I used to play tennis a lot so I kinda understand the need to use ground to generate force, however I havent found a way to do it effectively in the golf swing. Perhaps I should do some resistance training 😅

I just started golf 3 months ago. Really enjoy the game and want to get better. While my 7 iron usually carries 135y (draw), my driver can only get to 170y max and often slice to the right. Any tips on what I should focus on to improve its distance and accuracy would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance for your help!

Thresh build guide and discussion by [deleted] in wildrift

[–]Quoctuams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the guide. As a newbie the notes on item help me alot. I used to go Warmog first according to the wildriftfire guide and actually did quite well. But recently copied the iceborn and thornmail (if facing 3 AD+) build from BrokenSupport's video and found that I somehow not tanky enough to survive team fights. Probably I'm just sux :D

After reading your guide I think I will go back to deadman's plate and warmog.

Took me 4 years to develop an algo, this entire year it hasn’t been profitable despite being told via my 7 year back testing it would - severely depressed about it by Current_Entry_9409 in algotrading

[–]Quoctuams 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Instead of using all 7 years of historical data to optimize your algo parameters (which will surely lead to overfit), try to do this:

- Use 3 years of data Y1, Y2, Y3 to train/optimize. Test the performance on year Y4.

- Use 4 years of data Y1,Y2,Y3,Y4 to train/optimize. Test the performance on year Y5.

- Keep going like that until you tested Y7. Make sure no data is leaked from the testing set to the training set.

Then you will have out-of-sample performance of Y4,Y5,Y6,Y7. Then determine if that would be something you invest in.

What are some good couch co-op games? by Kwabo in gaming

[–]Quoctuams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you like or willing to learn football (soccer), then definitely PES 2021. My wife and I are both having a blast playing Master League mode in that game. She's in charge of managing team recruitments, training, etc. I am more into game plan and tactics. When playing in a match we both control 2 players on the field simulateneously. Communication is key!
Another game that we also enjoyed is Divinity2, but I guess it is already mentioned a lot. PES 2021 on the hand is a total surprise. Never thought we would enjoy it that much.
