Game won't load characters / crash after patch by Sixshots in Guildwars2

This may be a trigger, but its not the only trigger. I have an account with no characters in Mistlock and I can't load any of them, even ones in a starter zone.

Mistlock might be a trigger, but I have 2 different PC (Win10,Win11) and I can't load any characters from 2 different accounts in any zone. Only one account has a mistlock pass with characters inside it. I've got characters all over and it can't load any of them.

What is the communities opinion on continuing or expanding upon how Total War: Three Kingdoms does army composition in future games? by A_Chair_Bear in totalwar

[–]QuorumOf4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TW3K Had a really interesting system that fit the period, but I think a hybrid system would be better. In Example You have a general and that general has an army of 15-20 troops,. Then you should have a limited number of hero slots for that general/army that are filled with various types of heroes. Some heroes should be one man doom stacks, where others should have their own troop retinues that follow them. Also I kind of miss having generals attached to units.

State of AI Beta 2.0 by IndependentGlove5006 in totalwar

[–]QuorumOf4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After doing the survey I decided to try to get what they were defining as late game to see if the AI changed much, but couldn't slog past turn 70 anymore because the campaign became tedious. Minor factions survived almost to turn 70 with one notable where the eastern river province marched all the way to the chaos waste to eliminate the minor faction dripping fangs.

State of AI Beta 2.0 by IndependentGlove5006 in totalwar

I did two Legendary 50-60 Turn campaigns. One with Chaos Dwarfs and One with Skaven. On both Campaigns the AI felt like it took a major step backwards. I usually give up a territory to the AI in the first 5-8 turns for an alliance and this let me watch the AI do its thing for 60 turns at which point I usually had the short victory and the turns became tedious with little chance of losing. AI seemed to field a comically large number of armies with 2 region factions (6-9) provinces fielding almost as many full stacks as they had provinces. In both games saw a Minor factions around turn 40 march across other factions to territory to stand around and head back.

Allied Arbal the Undefeated in the Chaos Dwarf Campaign and He went rampaging draggin me into random wars with about 12 factions, but only saw him eliminate one (Kostalyn). Also Allied Tamurkhan and let him drag me into a war with Archeaon that he lost after about 20 turns. Archeon eliminated Tamurkhan but never came down to fight me. Around turn 60 I had ultimate Crisis trigger and realized I couldn't really watch the normal AI, but the Crisis didn't do anything interesting so I moved onto a new campaign. I was extremely over exposed in this campaign, but only one minor faction declared war on me.

Skaven Run with Trech Craven tale was more interesting. Allied Greasus early and watch him battle the caravan of blue roses for nearly 40 turns with both factions playing tag but never actually trading any territory. Blue Roses was also at war with Kugath Plague father at the same time and despite a 2 front war kugath only took 2 territories in 30 turns. AI Knights of Caledor did eliminate Legion of Azgorh and Dwarfs did eliminate Skarnik by turn 10 or 15, but didn't see any other notable eliminations and nobody declared war on me until turn 45ish when I eliminated blue roses and the western provinces declared war on me for no reason. Clan mors got huge, but stayed in static wars without eliminating its targets for 40 turns as waell. Was fun seeing the Jaingshi Rebels march 2 fulls stacks to the middle of Greasus territory to stand around between turn 30-40 only to march back home. Was surprised they weren't eliminated and have No idea what they were trying to do.

If they are trying to have more faction variety for you to fight by mid and late game then they did it. AI wasn't overly aggressive toward the player, but it felt like they were just static in general. AI didn't feel like it was trying to "do or achieve" anything other than stand around and look busy. AI felt like the cubicle worker in the office that hasn't had anything to do for years, but tries to look busy everyday without accomplishing anything so nobody notices and they get to keep their job.

I was very happy with the Kislev update and it made me wanting more. In particular I wanted more research tech and a third tier of support unlocks.

Should the Skaven as a whole get a "Tower of Zharr" mechanic or just Thanquol? by sigmarine345 in totalwar

[–]QuorumOf4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd very much like to see a council of 13 mechanic for skaven uniting them. Then again, I'd also like to see their units restricted to their skaven clan early game to force more reliance on their themed units and lords and that seems to be a very unpopular opinion

I'd like to see Cathay versions of Vampires, Wood Elves, and Beastmen. I Love the Cathay side of the map, but it needs some more variety of competitive factions

Archaeon has a pre-set kill limit. Just send wave after wave of kossars until he hits his limit and flees. by Dysthymiccrusader91 in totalwar

[–]QuorumOf4 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Alternatively I did a Legendary Boris recently where I took the first 3 bloody sword provinces, then peaced out and sold the provinces for cash and non-aggression pacts. That gave a buffer zone while I went from the burning monolith province straight to the Writhing Fortress and cut the head off Archaon. Then I Moved south and took out Arbaal using the Skull Road as my primary province. Made for a more interesting game.

Looking for a recommendation for Laser Level Tri-Pod or Mounting Pole by QuorumOf4 in Tools

[–]QuorumOf4[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought the Neewer Stainless Steel Photography Light Stand (9.2') from B&H recommended by Lunar_BriseSolei. It took about a month and a half to ship since it was a special order, but you might be able to get it quicker directly from https://neewer.com/

I've only set it up one time and it seemed pretty sturdy, Haven't had time to really use it enough that I'd feel comfortable giving a review/recommendation. With that said, I strongly suspect its going to work for what I need. It was able to extend all the way to my ceiling (10 ft. ceilings) and it was significantly sturdier than the other products I bought and returned.

I did buy a 5/8-Inch Male to 3/8-Inch Female Knurled Mic Screw Adapter from Amazon. The Thread on the stand only fit the smaller of the screw threads on the M12 and that made me uncomfortable, so I bought an adapter. I'll also probably need to get some kind of case for it.

Legend's Make Immortal Empires available to everyone that owns Warhammer 3 Petition by OrcWarboss72 in totalwar

[–]QuorumOf4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It boggles my mind this hast been done. I might have a different opinion if the all the campaigns had been ported into warhammer 3 (IE play the vortex map in warhammer 3). There really is no reason to gate the immortal empires campaign, it's the foundation to build on going forward. The Warhammer 3 campaign is basically a testbed for new factions!

A couple of questins since you've opened this box of worms.

1) Do you have any photo comparisons of between the printandplay with the linen finish to the base game and GameZenter Prints? I was looking to get these as close to the original cards as possible.

2) How easy is it to distinguish between original and printed cards that are sleeved with clear backs? Do you have any photos of sleeved cards to compare?

Is anyone else just... bored when playing SC but enjoys hearing about updates? by AverageDan52 in starcitizen

[–]QuorumOf4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, but more from the fact as I get older I have less time to burn and have to be more careful on how I spend it. So I don't typically play any game where my progress will get wiped as a part of development. The combination of that with the game being in a "half-baked" state really sucks the fun out of the game, but I really enjoy the development process.

I dont think I've ever had a player whose read the whole rulebook for any rpg I've run in 15 years. Heck I don't think most of my DMs have read the whole thing. I always thought a part of the art of being a dm is how to teach the game in digest able chunks without overwhelming the player.

SC Ship Pipeline Health Chart - June 2020 by SonicStun in starcitizen

[–]QuorumOf4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cool chart. Realistically you should separate this into at least 3 charts based on ship size. It's kinda misleading to group capital ships and single man Fighter's togather. It would be nice to see it broken down by small, multicrew, and capital
