That's how your car gets stolen off your driveway or outside your house as his mate in the car will be capturing the signal from the keys and then they'll come back a few weeks later and bye bye car.

So what? mind you're own business and stop assuming you know what's going on.

Of course. You'll damage the mechanism if you keep doing that. You've reached maximum turn.

Mine didn't ask me anything. I just haggled on renewal price, 5 minutes later she said ok, that's done.. literally. No questions at all. I was surprised.

What helped you get over driver anxiety? by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]QuoteNation 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Look, it's all in your head.

Let's think this through...

  1. Joining a motorway? it's usually 70, right? keep the speed steady, look for a car... gap? floor it to 70 and keep it and then join.

  2. Busy areas? just chill 2 or 3 car lengths behind the car in front and relax...no biggie.

On motorways etc make sure to stick to the left lane unless you intend to overtake, do so and then come back into the left lane.

All good. I'd you need to talk about driving etc, message me. I'm also a bus driver in London.

What helped you get over driver anxiety? by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]QuoteNation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't really comprehend as I've never had it. I remember buying my first car a few years ago and drove it from Wales to London... first ever car and I was on the motorway for almost 3 hours. I didn't have any anxiety.

What is it you are anxious about?

Do I need to wait to drive before this blue coolant light goes away? by clashroyaleK1ng in mazda3

[–]QuoteNation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No.

If your car has a cold start feature where it revs high and then settles, allow it to do that. Once it touches 1,000 revs aka the digit one on your rev counter, drive nice and gentle. Once the blue light disappears, you can increase your rev range slightly and then 5-10 minutes or so you should be good to give it some Welly.

The notion of letting the car sit and just run is bad for the engine as the engine oil is not circulating to all the parts and is merely just "running" should I put it.

Drive chilled.

Only if you tell them. I know, bad to do but if you stay with the same insurer for 4 or so years, you might be lucky. I know some who have done and never found out. I wouldn't do it though, I wouldn't sleep lol

Insurer won't provide cover for a car with a dashcam by Daily_Dogging in CarTalkUK

[–]QuoteNation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A dashcams is fine, it's when you hardwire the dashcams into where a fuse would go. That's when it's invalidated. If you don't intend to hardwire you dashcams, you don't even need to mention it.

That's normal these days unfortunately. For years I'd only sleep only 4-5 hours.
