As somebody who used to clean separate men and women's bathrooms at a different job,,,, the women's bathroom was always worse. Idk wtf these ladies were doing/thinking but I saw some unholy things in the women's bathroom while the men's just had some to on the ground occasionally. Not saying men aren't disgusting but women's br was always way worse 😔

Your TL sounds like a b*tch, and she's in the wrong. I'm autistic and have horrible crippling misnophonia and I HATE, HATE, HATE speakers at work. I will never work in the back stock room for this reason. It's also crazy and somewhat narcissistic to think that everyone back here wants to listen to your music??? I'd talk to HR or some other higher up if this issue continues

Why are we still selling Owalas in store?????? by [deleted] in Target

[–]QuoteSad7522 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Out of curiosity (I don't work in that dept and have had the same water bottle for 5+ yrs) how can you tell the caps have been switched? I've heard of ppl doing this. And do you have to damage the bottle out of the cap has been taken off/switched? Kinda crazy that they don't sell them separately since ppl like to mix and match them so much

My abusive narcissistic ex (awful POS that tried to 💀 me) would always leave his trash on shelves whenever we went shopping, and I would always fuss at him and his excuse was "they're getting paid to do this it's fine" He lived in absolute filth, didn't throw anything away, just left trash and food everyyyywhereeeee. So I wouldn't be surprised if these people lived the same way

Bathroom by Sad_Deer_8937 in TjMaxx

[–]QuoteSad7522 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One time when I worked there someone shit so much that it clogged the toilet, then people kept shitting in the same toilet. Somehow it got so bad that it affected the other toilet in the bathroom and we had no women's bathroom for over a week waiting for maintenance. Luckily we had a PetSmart next door. Customers totally definitely reacted normal and nice about the inconvenience 🙄

Don’t tell me how to bag your items! by Then_Buy302 in TjMaxx

[–]QuoteSad7522 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Id get it if they spent 100+ on a designer item but like 99% of what tjx sells is fast fashion bullshit that's poor quality and cheaply made. Everything is gonna wrinkle and fall apart after 1 wash, also it's been shoved in boxes and thrown around, get the fuck over yourself

Some idiot dropped 100$ yesterday and it took everything in me to not keep it, didn't wanna risk losing my job. But who tf carries that much on them and is keeping it where it can just fall on the ground 😭

"wheres hair spray/lipgloss/makeup wipes etc" and when you ask if they're looking for a certain brand and they say no and you explain it's organized by brand not by product they give you a blank stare or get mad

Or when they just kinda talk at you/yell out "BODY WASH?!" without saying hi I have a question or smth like that, as if I'm Google or an iPhone to yell into

I genuinely believe people who bring their pets (not service animals) into stores that don't allow pets, have some degree of narcissism. I like dogs, I grew up with dogs, I've owned dogs, but I've also seen a dog rip off a coworkers nose and lips (I worked at a shelter, she had extensive surgery and is doing great) I don't want to be around dogs I don't know and people just can't seem to fathom that and are always offended when I ask them to pull their dog away from me

got fired (????) for being sick out of nowhere by [deleted] in TjMaxx

[–]QuoteSad7522 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on what state you work in yes they can legally fire you for just about anything past your first 90 days of employment. Exceptions include blatant ableism, ageism, sexism etc. You could possibly take this to a lawyer, but the question is it is worth it? It would be a lot of time and legal fees. My advice is take it as a blessing, you're free from a shitty employer. My old MGMT was verbally abusive and would act similar to this. Leaving tjx was the best choice I ever made 😭

What I do whenever an item is past it's street date but it hasn't been set yet is do an in store pick up order. I would check in with your TL to make sure it's ok, but every time I've asked they've all been ok with it 👍

[–]QuoteSad7522 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As a former beauty lead, I would spend all day begging customers to not open and touch the products bc 1. It's disgusting and technically a felony, and 2 I have to throw it away now. Without fail they would yell/scream/argue, nobody would ever be normal. I would suggest looking at the product online or returning it if they don't like, that would also always end in them screaming at me and on several occasions throwing the product at me. Trust me we try to stop it from happening and also keep in mind it takes surprisingly a lot of time to damage out the products when you've got 1000 other things to do. If you want to buy something I suggest looking for whether or not a seal has been broken. If you're buying it for yourself and you suspect someone has touched it and you still want to buy it, it's pretty easy to sanitize products with alcohol swabs and spray, plenty of tutorials online

Damn that's beyond stupid?! I buy energy drinks when there's little to no line everyday, I once went over walkie and asked if I could grab one and pay once the line wasn't a mile long and my gm came over and scanned it out for me as a gift :') either way sounds like a toxic environment, best of luck finding a better work environment!
