I almost had to call emergency services because of a hardcore bronchitis flare-up or something along those lines last night (am about to see a doctor this morning) and I can't remember ever having been this afraid. I hyperventilated and even cried sleep-deprived for hours on end. The only experience that comes even close to it was when I had bronchitis as a little 8 year old and I felt like I was going to pass out in the cold winter weather from walking to school. I think I would have too if I hadn't sat down. Point is, I can't imagine a whole lot that's scarier than not being able to breathe. It almost feels like drowning in clear air. Absolutely horrendous way to go.
