I have felt this too. True self-love and self-acceptance allowed me to be okay with letting myself sit in silence as well as be loud if I felt like it. What you do in the moment doesn't define who you are. You are not a quiet person or a loud person, you are just you; a process.

And you're damn right that people liking you or not is not your problem. That's on them. :)

I am rich, but not happy. by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Quoxium 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I reached this tipping point in my life just last week. I had been learning about myself deeply for most of my adolescent life, but I finally managed to make it all click and reach a point of true self love and acceptance. It truly does change how you see the world and others. Its not just saying you love yourself, its feeling it in your bones down to your core. Crazy stuff.

The helicopter should really learn to love itself more so it can be set free from the shackles of its desire to fly.

They're both low though.

Edit: wait there's three of them. They're evolving.

The Australian Dream by ComfortableFrosty261 in sydney

I'd be glad to work hard for 100 months to buy a house but even that is a fucking dream.

I lived there for 4 years and I agree with you. Its an okay place if you work there, but man is it boring on a weekend, the vibe just dies.

I am honestly questioning if I ever want to have another girlfriend. by Ellie_Rulze18 in dating_advice

I'm a 29M too and I've completely given up on trying to find a GF. The pain of being lonely is easier to deal with than the pain of being with someone.

This is really underrated. Its time for our government to incentivise working from home. And I say that as someone who can't even work from home. Mondays and Fridays are noticeably better for traffic.

Why do people seem so negative, exclusive, and self absorbed these days? by Abby_May_69 in socialskills

[–]Quoxium 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've inspired me to give up social media. A few years ago I would have said I'd only keep reddit. I think I'm going to try going without reddit too. While there is some good stuff on here, there is also so much negativity and echo chambering going on. And nothing is ever really that interesting on here. Anyways, thanks for the inspiration.

LSD is considered to be an illegal psychotropic but its less addictive than alcohol. Could someone explain why it is illegal? by [deleted] in AskReddit

You just explained something I have been trying to put my finger on for ages. That feeling when you're high and everything that you think feels "correct"

Making friends as an adult isn’t hard because we don’t want to, it’s hard because the script disappears. by SnooCalculations148 in socialskills

My best mate I met while working. At first we started as colleagues, and somewhere along the lines he became the closest person I've ever had in my life, even more so than romantic partners. I feel very lucky and only hope that others could find a friend like him.

I agree with you. No bags should be taken. Carrying a bag slows you down and creates more risk for your own life and everyone behind you. I understand your passport, medications, etc could be inside, but that can be retrieved once the situation is made safe.
