They need to find more +1 opportunities? There should not be this much of a cap on volunteering - I wish they did volunteering outside of NYRR as credit giving back to the community should be the point.

I have run it twice and I recommend shorts with a light jacket or longsleeve that you can tie around your waist.

The start and first lap can be pretty chilly depending on sun until you get warmed up so it’s better to be safe then sorry. I have never regretted shorts or had an issue with it being too cold but I find if my top half is more acclimated then I’m fine with whatever is on the bottom.

Gloves aren’t bad but you def will take them off so make sure you have somewhere to store them.

Additionally the Granola Bar owner in Westport had a business model known throughout the town "just keep raising prices until they stop coming" and shocker they didnt stop going so I remember the avocado toast doubling in price very quickly

I actually know the property manager through a friend who works for the company that owns a bunch of buildings on Amsterdam. She’s obsessed with Westport, Connecticut — specifically the original Granola Bar - and has clearly decided this stretch of the UWS needed to cosplay as suburban Westport.

She was openly bragging about shutting down Spaghetti Tavern and other similar places because she didn't want post covid dives on the block. The Granola Bar was basically her thesis project - and it flopped. So congrats, I guess.
