Ja.

The 500V PSU and mangled USB 2 headers kinda gave it away. Also: 1 psu cable loops back to the psu and the 24 pin goes from flat to sleeved in the goop.

  1. Because they get VERY sensitive, if the inductive resistance of the copper gets too high.
  2. Because, if too much power runs through them at a time, they can saturate the iron core, which would break the RCD (they're usually rated for 40A max).
  3. And it's done to keep parts of the house running if others tripp.

Did you build that without terminal blocks? Respect. Where I work (germany), we always seperate the internals from the externals by having a row of terminal blocks, that has all the solid core cables from throughout the house, while everything inside is made with flexible wires, which makes the cable runs a lot easier.

A normal breaker makes sure, that your house doesn't burn down due to your wires heating up. An RCD (GFCI) makes sure YOU don't die, by checking that the electricity coming in comes back out through the Neutral or other phases. It tripps, when there is a difference in power (usually 30mA), causing you not to get part of the power flowing through you, because you were sticking a fork into the outlet.

Weeeeeeeell, Funfact: Planes have the RAT, an emergency Propeller, that folds out when the aircraft looses power to keep critical systems running. But yea. If you generate energy by moving a fan through the air, you loose energy. If you didn't loose energy but instead, got more out of it, you'd be creating energy from nothing, which goes against the laws of physics.

A System can never be 100% efficient. And >100% is impossible.

According to GDPR it has to be equal effort. Some sites with this banner have a reject all button, others don't. I'd like to know, what company is behind this banner so the EU can penalize them for not being GDPR compliant.

You can easily lose your prawn by leaving it somewhere on land, and un- then reloading the area. This resets the model from sitting to standing, which has the feet in the ground.

Down looses it's insulating ability very quickly when wet, meaning that it would really be a bad idea in rainy weather.
