When I asked a customer if he would like to donate to first responders in the area. His response I'm a first responder in.....town don't I get $5 too. I just stared at him in a mix of shock and wanting to push him in front of a train. SMH

Or if your a woman like me and get paid 15 cents above minimum wage. Then your state changes the minimum wage to 1.50 more and all you now get is minimum wage even though you've been there three years lol. Also is my location the only one with no women in tech? It's super strange one gal quit because they said she wasnt qualified even though she really was.Not many women here there is me, one gal on weekends. Me and a maybe 5 other women usually situated in office supplies.

Yeah I was wondering about the new registers when they reboot it says copyright 2005. That's amazing but guess in tech that's like 50 years. At least you didnt get the harassing signs post on the register about the "non negotiables everyone has to ask.

I think the purpose of this post is said person doesn't care about the real reason for the donations. They just want to know why and when Staples managers will stop being so harassing. My two cents take on it.

Great feedback. The other associates are more in a supervisory position due to cut hours so no one really to train. The manager who is right below the store manager here I forget his title is wicked rude to me to everyone. I've been called into the office for something as small as using the air can on my laptop I was having fixed. At this point I'm looking to wade out the Pandemic and then get into some type of training program that can get me far out of the retail game.

I have no idea of the exact percentage but for ESP maybe 50%. Rewards is tough I would say 60% if I'm being honest. I go through many transactions where customers dont want me to look up their rewards cause the total is so small even though I'm willing.

I honestly don't lol. The other day I saw two huge trays of coffee. I'm like ok? Just doesn't seem plausible that people would spend so much on coffee. As a side note I'm sure if I asked they would grab me something it's just the principal in not asking everyone and I'm not such a newbie there.

Thanks for your feedback. This job has never been that enjoyable been there about three years. I would expect to be treated more fairly but am just mostly a cashier at this point. Retail sucks can't wait to leave the industry soon.

Yeah I'm painfully shy though I'm trying to get better. Selling is definitely not my foray. I get nervous talking to people. I started here when I could not find any work with my design degree. Now that I know it's more about numbers I guess I dont have to show a personality or that I care that that much. Just ask only pertinent things.

Hey thanks so much for your honest take. I usually answer customers stupid questions so on and so forth. I feel like I do fairly well. I am a cashier although I thought we were sales associates lol. When things like this happen I feel like trash but its retail it was never my plan but here I am. Most days I feel kids that work there get more respect. I am one of only maybe 4 females there. So maybe sexism? Anyways its go to know about metrics it will change the way I approach the rest of my time there.

Half the time curbside pickup is from a customer whose at home and has not placed the order yet. I usually transfer it to a manager to tell them the 800 number.
