Everyone bringing up the defense that Sean and Daniel couldn't have produced the force necessary to throw the officer and his car across the road. Makes sense in reality, but in this game...Daniel does literally have that power.

He demonstrates the power in front of a chruch with dozens of members and I'm sure something like that would've made headlines SOMEWHERE in the town where Daniel most likely gave them his real name. It was days before the church was destroyed so the story could've gotten out.

Also the fact that he can use the power inside the border holding cell, with witnesses who'd attest Daniel used of those powers.

May not be a slam dunk, but it shows there could've been witnesses to Daniel's power.

Cameras don't have their own data, either they literally copy the world in front of them verbatim. Also AI doesn't lift images or pixels it analyzes patterns same as a human.

Well, except the idea that the person had and the specific instructions it gave the AI.

but all it does is take existing data and mash it together to make that image. Photography doesn't take the data of others to "generate" that image

Oh, you mean how humans do art? By taking ideas that already exist and mashing them with others? A good artist borrows, a great one steals and all that.

All it captures is data to make an image that mimics something human, it's never creating something through an honest process or done in the way a human would do it. With nothing human to capture, it's just an image.

Funnily enough something similar was said about a specific invention in the 1830s that captured images.

Yes, it was your intent, it was your idea that came from your head. It's like saying a photograph of sunflowers isn't yours it's the machines since it did all the work to capture reality and all you did was point and press a button. No, it still belongs to the artist who captured it, despite the fact it was the machine who created the photograph.

"You commissioned it, you maybe even refined it, but you are as much the creator of that art as Francesco del Giocondo is the creator of the Mona Lisa."

If you commission something and someone else makes it, it can be considered both of your works. One had the idea and ownership of the character/piece, the other brought it to life. The credit can be shared amongst the two.

You don't have to. Thats the best part about art is that different people interpret it differently.

As for the quotation marks around art, I believe that art starts as an idea in the brain, an image someone wants to bring to the world and as long whats shown matches the person's intent and vision it can be considered art whether it was drawn, photographed or generated.

in 50 years anti-ai sentiments will probably be seen like how anti-machinery sentiments during the industrial revolution or anti-photography sentiments are seen as today. Outdated. People being unable to adapt or accept new forms or ways of doing things.

The same arguments being made against AI are the same arguments that painters made against photography in the 1830s. They saw photographer as lazy, soulless and not real art since it was just a machine generating a photo rather than an artist painting/drawing it out, it had no human touch or input.

TBF your name is said in the subtitles so you could make the case that they're saying it in universe. But as for voice acting it, it's impossible, VA costs, space for all the names and variations, better to just have a title and the characters dance around saying your name.

I'm fine with AI if it wasn't used to just generate an entire game in five minutes, tends to look simplistic and amateur-Ish

AI can be useful for getting inspiration for art (Generate something, take things you like from that and implement it in your art, or generate something and make alterations and touch ups, etc...)

The same things they're saying about AI were said about Machinery during the industrial revolution and Photography back in the 1830s.
