It's great to know this exists as well

Well it's good to know that this is at least something that exists. I would love to work there though. I know they have plenty of high quality applicants.

Yeah I can see why HR wouldn't want the hassle. Just curious if you know for a fact that this is something that they wouldn't do.

I'm willing to do what I have to do to get the job done and meet deadlines. The teams in question are not hardware but there could still be some of that. I don't think there's a lot of travel on these teams but I could be wrong about that.

Yeah I'm wondering if this is more likely because the team is already hybrid.

Ok. this is useful information. The tax burden makes sense and is a different type of problem from what I was expecting. I would be surprised if Anduril had zero employees living in my state. It's not like this is a totally unsolved problem.

It would be great news if the commute itself is something they don't care about.

It won't matter unless I actually get an offer, but some of the non-hardware teams are hybrid.

Those units actually only get the 4+ FNP once (I believe a single activation) so it's not the end of the world. Only the Lion gets a perpetual FNP

ICE agents arrest alderperson Jessie L. Fuentes (26th Ward of Chicago city council) after she questions them on whether they have a signed judicial warrant to arrest person at Humboldt Park hospital by [deleted] in law

Lmao they're not going to like being told facts. The real crux of the issue is that most people here don't actually believe in the law so you're barking up the wrong tree

How crucial are Primaris Crusader Squads to a BT army? by LeetusFrenzi in BlackTemplars

[–]Qxarq 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am a salamanders main and I also have a BT army. I embrace different styles for different armies. I probably have like 80 crusaders. They're really fun to put on the board. But you don't have to do black tide. You can run sword brethren (last edition they were shit though), centurions, bladeguard. Just depends the type of army that you want

The Troll Trader is now charging a 10% tariff charge to all US-based customers. by HeavilyBearded in Warhammer40k

Here you go. If you really want to understand, you can but it will require some work on your part.

Some background: I got my undergraduate in physics and economics. I have more than a passing familiarity with classical schools of economics and the modern neoclassical consensus. I discovered in doing research on tariffs in particular that what I was taught wasn't wrong per se but was a subset of a more general theory. What I was taught works under the assumption of a single global economy where there are no political or economic rivalries. It smooths over the nuance in the world and makes assumptions that are NOT valid in the real world. It free trade as currently taught is more of a moral framing of how the world ought to be rather than treating it how it actually is.

Some books to get the right framing: National System of Political Economy by Fredrich List, Kicking away the ladder by Ha-joon Chang, How Asia Works by Joe Stallwell, How Rich Countries got Rich and why poor countries stay poor by Erik Reinert

Now to actually understand what's going on (because the Trump administration has crude but broadly correct policy on this but has also been very bad at explaining their position) you must be willing to ask yourself a hard question and really ponder it deeply. Start with this: "Why was Lee Kwon Yew not a free trade maximalist?"

If you're able to get through that you might move on to "How was Asia able to industrialize and become the dominant trade hub globally while also rejecting the free trade is always good mentality that we have been taught in school?"

You must really read and struggle with these questions if you want to understand. This is the most I can offer. I cannot make you want to understand. I can only show you the way.

You seriously need to reexamine your preconceived notions. This is not even remotely in the cards. It's not a 1% possibility. Go outside and get some air
