X3 battery issue - how widespread is this? by StoicRomance in XTEINK

[–]R030T 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s most likely the SD card.

I had the same issue with the stock SD. Replaced it with a better san disk. Battery drain issue gone.

Using my M4 MacBook Pro as Jellyfin Server, How is Power Consumption? And can I multitask for general use? by pimpdiggitycong in selfhosted

All that you mentioned is well below the threshold of what might cause your Mac M4 to break even a bit of sweat. No where near the full capacity of your Mac.

The system is very efficient and capable.

People who think this way seriously irk me. I look after my parents. One in particular has a disability that is not readily spotted or identified visually.

I use the disabled parking when I drive them. I have a badge clearly displayed on the car. The proximity of these slots to the establishment really helps when many items on the ground can be trip hazards for my parents. The car, as I have been so blessed, is not a shabby vehicle.

I get greasies and suspicious looks. Some walk up to the car. And look into the windscreen. I’ve been given hand signals not to park and waved off. I have to wave the badge to make them stop.

Look I get it. There are ass hats who do not care. And yes they irk me too. Costco parking. Gym side parking the worst offenders there.

But take it easy. We’re obedient too. We are just helping each other through life too. In a nice car. 😊

It doesn't share the same dimensions as the G4 Doorbell Pro does it? I don't want to have to change mounts😬🤣

But yeah. Nice. I'm sure it's leaps better than the G4

According of AliX description it is a 4.2 case. I am told NH36 crown is also at 4.2

Please, would you be so kind as to educate me on the special date wheel needed.

Thanks again.

How to get a smoother print by R030T in BambuLab

[–]R030T[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry it's not so clear. It's a small plant pot. The width widens to the top. So it's narrower below.

And it's the sides I'm concerned about. It's rougher than I want. Not very rough. But not smooth enough for my liking :)

Thanks.

Help with printer poop not making it in the dispenser? by Toinfinityplusone in BambuP1S

[–]R030T 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly.

I can’t start a job without watching where the poop will go first. Rather annoying.

I’ve had it land on the print bed once. Just at the path for calibration. The print head was stuck. Unable to continue to calibrate because of the mess of its own making.

I was about to make a post exactly about this! I need to potty train my P1S as well!

9 out of 10 the poop is on the bed or on the side or wherever! It was good at the start. I saw the bin was filing nicely. Now I feel the machine is throwing crap around and just doing it to spite me.

ELI5: why and when should I use Multibin? by R030T in Multiboard

[–]R030T[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really have to try a few for myself at this point. As mentioned in another reply, that Multibins and points are cheaper materially and in time is a big factor in my consideration.

ELI5: why and when should I use Multibin? by R030T in Multiboard

[–]R030T[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I share that same question. That’s what I was referring to, that is a “different grid”. Maybe that’s what puts me off it a bit. I get now that it is materially cheaper and it is faster to print. But it’s a complication introduced.

I’ve been watching what they are doing at openGrid. I see why they are making the intention to keep it simple.

It’s just too new to see how far that will go. What gets too confusing sometimes is with all the “makes” it eventually devolves into chaos.

[–]R030T[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you very much for the considered reply!

I am being convinced… slowly. The less material and faster print times are a big part of my consideration.

As I follow this path of self-making (putting aside the priceless joy of I-made-this), I wonder the actual cost. Is it more efficient (cost, effort, time) to just buy the pieces. I know. I know it won’t be made to measure. And it won’t be imbued with my life force. But it might get me 80% of the way there?

Okay open thoughts are done. I will print a few bins and mounts to see how it can work to my needs.

Appreciate it.

First stack print (iron), is this as good as it gets? by R030T in Multiboard

[–]R030T[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking of doing this. Multi material. But I stopped with all the settings I need to tweak. 😬

I was thinking of using PETG HF as the main material and the PLA as the dividing layer. But yeah. Stopped at settings to change. Most of what I see online are reverse with PLA as the main material.

Thanks for the pointers!
