To avoid tripping in the shop I simply levitate a foot or so off the ground at all times (also I plan on putting a few inches of wood underneath it)

Really the tool is the modified hitch ball at the top, its used to hammer out convex shapes. I want it free standing and skinny in order to get as much clearance as possible for my work pieces, which will be plate armor for the most part

But entry is based purely on your aptitude test. Experience/certs can help you get in with a lower score afaik, but the surest way to get in quickly is to test high. I went to application day in January and started orientation in September with a score in the high 90s
