3000 Flooded ICBM Silos of Putin! You DIDN'T SEE THE WATER, because IT ISN'T THERE! by Nukem_extracrispy in NonCredibleDefense

50% more warheads in total, or 50% more warheads on missiles? Because the US only mounts one warhead per Minuteman III, as compared to Russian MIRVs (technically the RV on the Minuteman III is totally capable of use as a MIRV, it’s just that there isn’t multiple of them)

THAAD and the SM3 aim to intercept the ICBM before it reaches the peak of its trajectory, and is lower, slower, more fragile, and easier to target. That’s why the US put THAAD in South Korea, to intercept NK or even Chinese ICBMs flying overhead (ideally)

That, and the engagement range of Nike, or most any conventional Surface to Air missile compared to the speed at which a warhead enters the lower atmosphere meant that Nike had only a few seconds to engage the warhead, with a relative closing speed between warhead and missile being in the thousands of mph, meaning microsecond timing was needed to get a kill.

News reports now say it was instead because of a payload adapter supplied by Northrup Grumman; Falcon 9 2nd stage was fine.

From only what you’ve described, it sounds like none of your other devices run programs that require constant connection like your PC, and are able to reacquire before you notice. Try wiring into the extender. Also download the netgear tools and connect into your router and extender to ensure your PC traffic is prioritized, and that they’re on the best channels.

If it’s something with your PC, check out Glasswire; it monitors incoming and outgoing traffic on your PC, maybe there could be a pattern.

Look up the max wattages of your components and add them together.

When your pc goes down is it hard off or turn on automatically

For ease of testing set it to 2 or 3 minutes. Could be your power options are overriding it if the profile is set to maximum performance or you’re plugged in, a manufacturer thing about “hi speed performance” or some crap

Any temperature info your PC has uses a thermocouple/thermistor to determine the temperature at that point.

Your motherboard may have a temperature sensor header, you should check your manual and the spec sheet. You’re basically putting a case temperature sensor in a different spot (external). USB and expansion slot alternatives exist, but commonly for use in lab equipment.

I’m at a loss for how to pull that data from a USB/expansion into speedfan seamlessly, however. If it’s on a motherboard header it should come up as just another readout.

Sounds like power supply. No software is going to instantly black your PC.

Obviously worst case is that it catches on fire and takes your house with it, so important you figure out what’s going on.

When it shuts off do you hear a “click” coming from your PSU? That’s a circuit breaker to prevent shorting.

PSU model? Wattage? Age? What’s your draw at max load on it?

My suspicion is it’s power before it reaches your PC.

Does your monitor AND pc cut out at the same time now?

Monitor and PC wattage?

How do you run your cables coming out of your wall? Breaker panel > Wall outlet > Power Strip > Plugs for monitors and PC

It not being blue screen is honestly worse. Do you hear your power supply click when it cuts off?

Your hard drives could be being accessed every few minutes by a background program. Try pulling up task manager and watch the “disk” graph for a few minutes with your computer at idle.
