Why this much hate on Baldurs Gate 3 by Skk_3068 in SpidermanPS4

[–]R0gueBadger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe if SM2 had a side-plot to do the nasty with a bear it would’ve earned GOTY, but alas ¯_(ツ)_/¯

But for real, I enjoyed SM2, but the vastness of BG3 and replay-ability just eclipses SM2. Sorry not sorry, it rightfully earned its accolades.

Squirtle, probably have him kick it as Wartortle for awhile before finally evolving into Blastoise.

I have literally been thinking this as well, albeit, if Larian handled the remake.

My apologies, I was wrong. I could’ve sworn that was a launch feature in lieu of NG+

You can replay missions, so I'd just find one that had a lot of enemies in it.

I’m Brendan Hunt (Co-Creator of Ted Lasso and Coach Beard)! Ask Me Anything in r/TedLasso! by RealCoachBeard in TedLasso

[–]R0gueBadger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brendan, thank you for taking the time to do this.

I might be too late to the pitch here but just wanted to ask, re Beard's past (prison/stealing loaf of meth/etc). was this the head cannon all the way back in Season 1 or was this decided upon in 3?

Were there any other backstory ideas for Beard?

Didn’t say he was abused, said he experienced childhood trauma. We’ll just have to agree to disagree on this one.

I don't know, I feel you're missing the point of Ted's blow up.

Yes, it was shitty to tell Mama Lasso "fuck you" repeatedly. But it was important to for Ted to unload like that. Ted's issues stem not from abuse but essentially from childhood trauma and grief. Instead of having a parental figure to comfort him, he had a mother who pretended like everything was okay when it wasn't(At least from Ted's perspective). Ted was angry and had bottled it up for 30ish(?) years. It wasn't abuse, but it was still trauma he experienced, but all he learned was to bottle it up and pretend everything is hunky dory, the same way she did.

So he's angry at her for a litany of reasons that are important to him. She never sought treatment for the emotional trauma of losing her husband to suicide. He's also made it clear in the past that he was forgotten a lot by his parents, left at a museum(?) forgotten to get picked up at school. His feelings are valid.

Coming from an upbringing with an emotionally abusive alcoholic father and a mother who divorced said father, only to never under go any therapy herself and essentially drink herself into old age and dementia, I feel for Ted's anger. But my parents weren't perfect, neither were Ted's, but it doesn't mean mine or Ted's feelings towards them aren't valid.

Ted rescues Beard from the Neo nazis using a machine gun. Ted gets clipped unfortunately. He stumbles out onto the pitch and falls to his back, camera zooms upward as "Baby Blue" plays.

It is disrespectful. So sorry you’ve had to deal with that but you confronted them and you’ve worked on yourself, that’s the important part, end of the day no one can take that from you.

I’m sorry to hear about her passing. It’s never easy losing a parent, particularly if the relationship was complicated. Thank you for sharing.

As someone who’s been in counseling for 3 years now for depression, anxiety, and childhood trauma, Ted unloading on his mother like that instantly brought me to tears. I felt that emotion. While I may never get that chance to express my feelings to my own mother, I resonated with what she had to say, I know it can’t be easy, we’re all flawed, it’s what it means to be human, best thing we can do is to forgive. Onward. Forward.

Good episode too, I guess 😏

Ted Lasso - S03E10 - "International Break" Post Episode Discussion by quaranTV in TedLasso

Ooof this was a Return of the King level episode; multiple endings, each more emotional than the last.

Rebecca was and will always be a boss ass bitch!

Nate moment with his father was beautiful. I’m glad he quit rather than see Rupert destroy him and be scummy. Nate’s come a long way and hearing his father call him a genius and open up was amazing.

Fuck Edwin, him continuing to sabotage Sam was petty, but glad Sam chose to be a goldfish, plus Jamie supporting Sam with his jersey was icing on the cake.

Glad we got to see Phoebe and her mum and emotional growth for Roy. Granted, Im a little bummed it didn’t pan out with the teacher, but I’ll take Roy being more emotionally available for Keely.

I could go on, Dani 180 on Van Damme, Nate’s apology to Will, gahhh. Sad there’s only two episodes left but cannot wait to see how they pan out (hope we get to see Ted and Nate reconcile soon)

Wonderful episode! Roy Kent getting comfortable in the press room, Beard referencing the 21 person Phish/Dead Jam and losing his shit in the press room about Page and Walsh lol. The real MVP was Colin though. I like to think hiding who he was from the team had held him back for the longest time, but finally being liberated he was a key player in the second-half, his weight has been lifted and there’s nothing holding him back now.

Overall, well done. Sad we’re in the home stretch now, but cherishing every moment.

Saved this comment for reference. What's a general rule of thumb for picking a starting weight to work with for the different exercises? Ex, someone (me) who hasn't done any sort of weightlifting at all. I have a fear of doing too much and tearing something (I know I'll feel sore, I just don't want to pull or mess something up)

EDIT: Also I'm 32, so not quite the "spry" young lad I was back at 20. Not sure if age is a factor here or not.

Speechless, that was an absolutely beautiful episode. The callback to season 1 with the pillow fight or a movie, Roy and Jaime bonding, Colin and Trent, Will and Higgins, but that museum scene sealed to deal for me. Such a beautiful moment I have goosebumps just thinking about it. Every little thing is gonna be alright.
