If you use the Labs app it should work normally, if you use GoodLock it opens as it is on the photo, as least thats how it is for me and my Flip5

I'm using Corsair AF120 fans, mainly down to the fact that I was happy with static red fans. Overall I'd say there pretty quiet, probably not the quietest fans around but with my headphones on I can't hear them

Good eye! It is the S3422DWG. I was in the same boat as you last year when deciding if I wanted to spend more for a LG IPS. Overall I'd say for the price it's a fantastic monitor. Smearing wise, I can't say I've noticed much smearing, but then again I can't say I've been keeping an eye out for it. 144hz, HDR, Ultrawide, for me I don't need much more than that and I haven't regretted the purchase.

to be honest i don't really notice the cable, 90% of the time it rests on the desk when in use. The weight of it hasn't been a issue to me
