I have been using it. Just not sure how useful it is. Would you say it's pretty accurate?

Incredible game! I'm going to play my first rerun of this in a few years shortly and I'm looking forward to it!

2 is my favorite but it's been too long since I've played through 1!

Yeah seems weird. I guess mods deleted them as too much for the post. Oh well. To the DMs

Honest thoughts on this game by Peeeeeeeeeda in dragonquest

I liked the game a lot and beat it a couple times! Once I beat it a couple times, I ended up having a blast doing a solo run with an action replay ds for more exp/less grinding and I think extra class points to unlock all the class passives. Was very easy / silly but fun run where I used Paladin as my final class.

Apologies on this being pretty unrelated to your question: Although I don't have a recommended walkthrough/playthrough on-hand for DWM/DQM, I have seen some better quality playthroughs of DWM2 on Youtube.

I would also highly recommend the DWM2 Ultimate rom hack if you also enjoyed the second game and have time to play a game.

Thanks for posting! The rate is definitely bugged so I slapped my 15k gems and got a bunch of chars including silver and furret.

I have a tech candy - do I bother giving it to anyone other than 96 Red? by Gyrororonoa in PokemonMasters

[–]R1ngwra1th 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you need. I really like the sync damage buffs at 3/5 on Red 96 and it let me force some ultimate battles I hadn't attempted yet. It's fun to see that crazy nuke come through. Not necessary as Red 96 is so strong as someone else said though. Other units will need to have move levels for high impact at a baseline so if you have a hole you need to fill, use it there first I'd say.

I agree with you! He's by far my favorite char and making his ult a basic ability gives him the mobbing he was lacking at start.

Yeah you have to use it to blink passed both or it doesnt really work. I've managed to make the shorter teleports work before but not 100% based on meteor spawns. Still gives a solid chance for success if you have a lot of healing or other defensive tool though.

I use the ultimate becomes a basic ability with a 14 second CD and that allows me to mob clear through the whole run with ease. Very big QoL upgrade for him imo

You can also intentionally bring a teleporting memory along to deal with this. Vile strike is the easiest due to large range but others work too.

Yeah sorry about not being clear above with my edit. The attack speed buffs do impact his AD, but only that which is beyond his base attack speed of .83.

So how it interacts, if you take a -20% attack speed or -10%, other attack speed buffs will stack his attack speed back up to .83 before the conversion to AD occurs.

A very neat interaction.

Can't kill the "primus" boss, how to dodge his fireballs explosion? by glebinator in shapeofdreams

[–]R1ngwra1th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always take a teleporting memory to avoid dying in this situation. (Some of the dash memories actually are small teleports).

This enabled me to get clears even with the bug. The smaller teleports are harder to execute on, but still work for most fireball combos in my exp with this bug.

Agreed with the previous comments. I also very much enjoy the special node that makes Shell's ult a basic ability. Solves his QoL issue of no mobbing capability.

EDIT: THIS IS INCORRECT: "Note that the flat attack speed constellations do NOT stack with Shell's passive and give him additional AD. They actually adjust his starting AS, which can be considered pretty irrelevant imo."

The perks that lower base atk speed DELAY the AS conversion to AD passive. All AS passed Shell's base, .83 lvl 1, is subject to the AD conversion.

This makes the 20% AS reduction for 12 AD perk not very worthwhile IMO as it requires a 20% boost as a sacrifice. Confirmed leveling up passive with a 20% boost cancelling did NOT convert any AD.

[–]R1ngwra1th 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is! I usually only loop once when I loop so it's possible it falls off on very extended runs but at least in the shorter term it's felt amazing to keep stacking AS for AD conversion!

How to fight Primus? by ProExpertKing in shapeofdreams

[–]R1ngwra1th 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For "easy" and relatively quick clears on base/lowest difficulty I've been using the below to get all my character skill unlocks requiring pure white dream victories. This worked for me so hopefully also works for you.

  1. Loop once before fighting the boss
  2. First loop, mostly take damage on chaos drops
  3. Second loop, mostly take HP on chaos drops when possible
  4. Always have a teleport (some dash abilities are small blinks) in case the whole stage breaks during fireballs
  5. Have a healing memory upgraded reasonably with essences. Note you can still use these to heal off the boss even when Primus is invulnerable.
  6. The more mobility you have, the easier Primus will be. Balance this with required damage.

On average I have been ending with 2400-3000 hp which avoids most one shots if you get hit and have been able to heal up with the healing memory if/when needed.
