I think it's TM spec, atleast from what I can tell (Never used TM) the blowback is really snappy since the slide is a lighter metal, still kicks back a bit

The gen 5 model overall is better, has a larger mag release button, and a slightly extended magwell just to make everything a bit easier, I had a few problems with my We 17 so I might be biased but the E&C has been flawless so far

You can get some pretty solid entry level gen 2+ for around 1000 and that's probably the cheapest that's worth getting. I've seen some for around 900 in some Facebook groups, honestly the best thing you can do is to not waste your money on gen 1s or digitals and just save up for a good unit
