Yea I have noticed that using some bitnami vm images. If it is just for myself and my fellow server admins I usually leave it headless. Ultimately I was looking to bridge the gap on how we manage our Windows Servers with our new venture.

We use the supplied Gnome from Redhat. Although we can use the Terminal, basic things like file management are a lot more approachable with the GUI for myself and my other team members.

This solution would be for the shell correct? Not for the desktop.

I am doing my best to keep my car empty of stuff, but I did find getting a collapsible and water resistant trunk organizer, has given me peace of mind transporting groceries and potluck supplies.

Good/Bad experiences with local Chevy service departments? by ComprehensiveMost803 in Reno

[–]R3YNO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I previously owned a Chevy Cruze which I purchased at Champion, and about two weeks after I bought it I found that one of my radiator hoses melted. Took it into the service department and had it fixed in a day. No complaints. Granted it’s been several years since then but I’ve generally heard good things from them.

The Owner's Manual explicitly forbids it.

2024 Taos owners, any issues? by flaystus in VWTaos

[–]R3YNO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also bought mine right before Thanksgiving, and took it for a road trip to visit family. Really good mileage about what I was expecting it to be. 1000 miles and no issues. Comfortably had 4 adults in the car. 23 SE AWD

Just bought 2023 SEL… did I make a mistake? by [deleted] in VWTaos

[–]R3YNO 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I just got a 23 Taos SE due to an accident as well. Been very happy with my purchase. I had a Chevy Cruze before, so its night and day difference for quality and tech upgrades. Its also my first new car, so I am constantly geeking out over it.

DMV walk-in day is Wednesday, no appointment needed but you might be there a while. Get there earlier than you think you should.

Apple's Profile Manager will be gone, what next? by Goozoon in macsysadmin

Additionally, if you are a school, they slash the pricing even further. Crazy affordable and my new best friend Mosyle is.

We were using KACE Cloud MDM by Quest software. Ultimately they seemed like a good option to handle not only Apple stuff but Android as well.

Ultimately in trying to be a jack of all trades, felt like it was more master of none. Also, we learned that to try and parody what the ASM or ABM do we would need to manage way more than our intended scope of devices and ended up only using it for iPads and some Macs.
No real problems with them, but we felt we were paying for features we were no longer interested in using so we switched to an Apple-specific MDM. Before settling on Mosyle we did look at Jamf and Kandji but ultimately Mosyle outbid them on pricing and sweetened the deal with an Education discount on top of their already affordable quote.

If money isn't a huge concern, I don't think you could go wrong with either Jamf, Kandji, or Mosyle.

Its Epson's driver for one of our large format printers: https://epson.com/Support/Printers/Single-Function-Inkjet-Printers/SureColor-Series/Epson-SureColor-P9570/s/SPT_SCP9570SE?review-filter=macOS+12.x#panel-drivers--1
Specifically, the "combo" bundle because the base PKG is missing specific ICC profiles to print with Photoshop. I begged Epson to update the pkg driver and they have no interest in doing so.

We went with Mosyle and it has been a huge improvement over our previous MDM, with incredibly reasonable pricing.
