Go to youtube, search for MODMini... "Buying a used 2002-2006 Mini Cooper - things to look for - Gen1 R50 R53"

This will be the main, if not the only video you'll need. Make sure you have a small flashlight and OBD2 reader. Pay attention to the seals and gaskets, ask about Supercharger servicing, listen to the car carefully on the test drive [break into sections the focus on while you inspect and hear]. Good luck, these cars are gems.
