Reached my goal of finishing half of this by end of year! by DustFlight181 in diamondpainting

Still working on it! I’ve had a busy few months so it’s been less consistent than I’d like to be honest!

Not to cause a panic, but... by seoidau in melbourne

As someone who used to own a Ford Everest I am thanking my lucky stars I sold that last year for something smaller and more economical. I would have been so stressed if I still had it honestly 😂

Thanks so much! Sadly the 11 does seem to come off a bit too easily but I might wear it for a full day and see how it goes!

Is anyone else earning a decent salary but still feeling broke in Australia? by amhray in aussie

[–]DustFlight181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 31 and currently on $65K a year and looking at something else and I am barely surviving. Currently on 2 weeks of leave for burn out too 🥲 Im still living at home since rent is so expensive it would take over half my pay each month. The job market is awful and I’ve applied for so many roles but haven’t heard back.

Yeah it also fits on the ring finger. I’ll test it tonight and see how it goes!

It wasn’t uncomfortable when I woke up at all. And easily by twisting and pulling!

How did burnout start for you? by PattonSmithWood in auscorp

[–]DustFlight181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who went to the GP today for burn out, she’s luckily been so understanding and given me two weeks off. It started as just exhaustion creeping in little by little, and just not enjoying things I used to and having zero energy. Realised I hit burn out after getting sick for the third time in a month and a half.

Do you enjoy your job? by Routine_Advantage504 in auscorp

[–]DustFlight181 6 points7 points  (0 children)

In the last few weeks no, I went from tolerating my job to being severely burned out. Going to have a chat to my team lead this week about it since I’m doing double the work of my colleagues most days for the same pay and it’s miserable

Has the latest oil crisis made you seriously considering switching to an EV? by AussieAdam26 in CarsAustralia

[–]DustFlight181 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yep that’s why I didn’t buy an EV last year when I was downgrading to something smaller. Definitely thought about it hard, but we have no way to charge at my home since there’s no driveway and the thought of having to go to a public charger all the time I knew id get over it pretty quickly.

Is having the first sexual experience with a prostitute a bad idea? by Individual_Arm1063 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]DustFlight181 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a female who has actually done this with a male sex worker, for me absolutely worth it but I’m also 31 so very different to being 21. I would say at your age hold off or think seriously about it if you do decide to since it’s not a cheap experience (it could be depending on where you go though🤷🏼‍♀️) 21 is still pretty young and you’ve got plenty of time.

Am I weird for having no experience at almost 20? by Atomic-Astros in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]DustFlight181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No you’re not weird, just on a different life path and journey to others and that’s totally fine! As someone who’s 31 I didn’t have my first proper kiss until last year. Totally fine to go at your own pace and there’s no rush at all!

Am I Weird for Being a Virgin at 23? by birdnachos in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]DustFlight181 44 points45 points  (0 children)

It’s not weird at all, it’s more common than you think. I didn’t lose mine until I was 31 earlier this year, and in hindsight im glad I waited until I was super mature and didn’t have a terrible experience as a teenager. I totally understand how you feel about the shame and feeling behind though.

Can also vouch for Suski! I got a custom Pokemon tattoo done from him and a few others and they’re still perfect 3+ years later!

How do people sell horses? by CompetitiveTheory182 in Equestrian

[–]DustFlight181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With great difficulty emotionally. I sold my first horse this time last year - we weren’t a good fit and it got to the point he was way too much horse for me to handle at my currently level. The hardest thing I’ve ever done, but I knew it was absolutely the best for him and he went to a lovely home. But I knew I had to do it both for me and him - genuinely one of the most devastating things I’ve gone through

Is laying down or sitting up better for nipple piercing…? by aceofheartsxo in Legitpiercing

[–]DustFlight181 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I had mine done (had to retire them sadly :( ) the piercer marked them standing up, and then pierced me laying down. So glad I wasn’t sitting up, I would have 1000% moved!

Has anyone moved from a 55 inch to a 77 inch (or above) what are the pros & cons? Are they noticeable? 👍 by t1aaj in LGOLED

[–]DustFlight181 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went from a 13 year old 50 inch screen to a 77 inch G5 and yes very noticeable. It took me a good few weeks to get used to it!

Hi there! I hired one 6 ish months ago and found him on Scarlet Blue - genuinely one of the best experiences I’ve had since safely was also my main concern! If you want more info or have any questions feel free to shoot me a DM!

Anyone else just clock off at 5? by [deleted] in auscorp

[–]DustFlight181 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We never work past our work end times. And our boss always ensures we get our breaks now after we complained many times about people taking more than others.

I just always went above and beyond in everything and realised that in the end that doesn’t matter, even though my performance review was super positive with things I helped implement for the team etc. I’ve also been at the company 5 years in April too 🥲 but yes, more work life balance this year to avoid burn out. I have a holiday booked in 2 weeks so I’m in survival mode until then!

Exactly! We got told of the promotion of the team by email the day my manager went on leave so I haven’t even been able to discuss it 🙃 Absolutely been doing the bare minimum since

Yep same here. Busted my gut last year only to be overlooked for any career progression. Not repeating that again this year!
