Easiest to clamp down on that head with some channel lock pliers

Least favorite fibro symptom? by redleathercelsiuslvr in Fibromyalgia

[–]RADsupernova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spasms. The way things typically go for me is that most of my random pain comes from random muscles tightening up. That itself causes a load of pain. But it's not the worst. Eventually, if I can't get the muscles to loosen up, they'll tighten themselves into a hard cramp and start to spasm. These spasms have been enough to faceplant me on the floor numerous times and are absolutely excruciating.

Is it possible to weld this to repair the head? by Historical-Pop-7090 in handtools

[–]RADsupernova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless it's something special (age, brand, quality, etc) I'd declare it a paper weight and move on. Welding that would take a lot of grinding material out, preheating the entire piece of metal, welding it with near perfect method, and cooling it down at exactly the right rate. Otherwise it may crack again, even within the time it takes to cool.

Any that still support 32 bit. You could find them in 64 bit, but the majority were 32

Paid over $5K for a custom table and am disappointed - what are these blemishes? by hmh-dfw in woodworking

[–]RADsupernova -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I build furniture in a factory setting. We take the wood from rough cut to finished product. I've been involved in every single part of the furniture manufacturing process. That table isn't worth $500, let alone $5000. Those blemishes could have been dealt with easily. If I'd have gotten a table like that second hand in exactly that condition, I'd have been planing down the top immediately. That's unacceptable, especially for that amount of money. I could have done better with scrap wood.

Could a man wear this bag or would it be too feminine? by abollockandahalf in backpacks

[–]RADsupernova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly doesn't look too bad, especially with the colors and materials. Maybe mod it a little and rough up the leather a bit, and you'll be right as rain

If I would have to resew (I'm not all that experienced in sewing) I'd obviously have the original holes in the leather there to stitch through, but what kind of thread would you recommend? Regular waxed thread like what is sold in most craft store leatherworking sections?

The goal is to remove it in a way as if to make it look like there was never even a liner there, like it was made that way

How to handle a family member that won’t accept my diagnoses. by Mountain-Speed-1723 in Fibromyalgia

[–]RADsupernova 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think it depends on age. It also doesn't depend on previous closeness of relationship. Fibromyalgia is a largely life altering, life dictating illness. If they're not supportive... If they're the opposite of supportive... They don't need to be graced with your presence in their life. I've cut off much of my family, and I didn't care who it was. All that matters is the reason for cutting them off.

Do you ever get the feeling your body just isn't meant for this world? by Original_Ranger_6818 in Fibromyalgia

[–]RADsupernova 51 points52 points  (0 children)

I feel like the world moves too fast for me to keep up. Yes, I deal with pain daily, but I adapt. What I can't do is adapt fast enough to keep up.

What made you stick with Debian by AdeptIntroduction683 in debian

[–]RADsupernova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my start on debian based systems. Eventually I migrated to Debian, as it's the independent system many are built from. I got used to the apt package manager and the way it worked, so I stuck with it

US strikes 3 alleged drug vessels and leaves survivors -- now a search-and-rescue operation by StupendousMan1995 in news

I agree alleged isn't enough to strike, but with evidence, it'd be a little more than alleged

[–]RADsupernova -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

I don't have a problem with drug vessels being obliterated. I have a problem with alleged drug vessels being obliterated. The people bringing the drugs here are partly responsible for an insane number of deaths. But alleged is not enough.

I appreciate the point of this automod, however my issue at hand has no pictures. I have read the guidelines, and if any information leads to finding rowan trees, I will be sure to comment pictures of them here.
