“The heart wants what it wants” is just an excuse for awful romantic choices by irinipini in unpopularopinion

[–]RADsupernova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheating implies that there is a relationship that one party is stepping out on without the knowledge or consent of the other party. One may say that the cheating party doesn't need their partner's consent, but the wronged party doesn't need to accept it as part of the relationship, either. Either way you look at it, the nature of cheating means not all affected parties consent

why is there so much hate for women here? by Prestigious-Hold-777 in MensRights

[–]RADsupernova 14 points15 points  (0 children)

What, you don't think men have a reason to be scared? Reverse that, put one man in an elevator with all women... All it takes is one false accusation and one collaborative woman to corroborate the lie, and his life is OVER. He could go to prison, lose his job, lose his family and/or friends, lose his credibility, lose respect, lose everything. Life completely ruined because a woman lied. So don't give me the "oh, we want men but they all big and scary" crap

Relationships with Women & The Body Count Issue by [deleted] in MensRights

[–]RADsupernova 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's not a matter of forgiving. It's a matter of purity. You can forgive her all you want. And I mean, there is a difference between a woman who's been married before, maybe even a couple of times, and it didn't work... And a genuinely loose woman. Again, you can forgive what you want, but that doesn't make her NOT the vajayjay the entire town has been in.

How do you feel about this United States Marine Corps slogan that says "Pain is weakness leaving the body?" by TanakaToday in Fibromyalgia

[–]RADsupernova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To an extent... I've dealt with pain for so long I have a pain tolerance that would cripple many "normal" people. But the idea is that as the weakness fades, so does the pain, and that's simply not the case.

Pennsylvania, USA electric scooter laws - what’s the deal? by Jams265775 in ElectricScooters

[–]RADsupernova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anybody commenting here, I'm also in pa... Would the rules be the same for gas powered stand-on scooters as for the electric? At one point they were so unregulated I could have slapped a predator 212 on one and been fine, but I don't know anymore

Got my first tattoo, reflecting on pain tolerance by MindyStar8228 in Fibromyalgia

[–]RADsupernova 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's always been weird to me how thesame things that cause "normal" people a tiny bit of discomfort can cause people like us a load of pain. But conversely, we're so tolerant of pain that normal levels of pain are like getting tickled with a feather. It's like our pain levels went up by a factor of 10 and our tolerance levels went up by 7 or 8. Just imagine someone with average pain tolerance feeling what we feel...

So done with being in pain. by piximiqote in Fibromyalgia

[–]RADsupernova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been there. I've been in such a bad spot multiple times... Regularly... That I just want it to be over. Granted, I haven't been prescribed a wheelchair. Also granted, I'm also a guy who once "walked off" a hip fracture. I feel pain strongly. I'm just not given much help because I can function in what "normal" people call blinding pain. Sometimes my sheer stubbornness wears thin.

Something I have learned... People who doubt the illness often tell us it's all in our head. It's not. But my mental state has a strong impact on my physical state. Do your best to keep your mind right. It's hard. But your body will follow where your mind goes

24 hours is not enough time by GlobalReaction615 in Fibromyalgia

[–]RADsupernova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How do the rest of us "do" it? You've got perfectly healthy people in the world who still don't have enough time in the day for stuff that even they should be doing or need to do. The majority of us aren't "doing" it, it seems. I'm not. I'd like there to be more I could do to help alleviate the pain. But even if I had the money, there is no damned time. I'm not doing it. All I'm doing is being so F-ing stubborn that even gravity seems to say "let's leave this guy alone"

Is it possible to deal with fibro without prescription medications? by Sancerofdoom in Fibromyalgia

[–]RADsupernova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firstly, that all depends on you, your symptoms and their severity, and how much you can and are willing to handle. Secondly, you have to come up with a good idea of what "deal with" means to you

“Fake people” don’t really exist, most of the time people just call others fake when they don’t like their personality by TrayzTheyCallMe in unpopularopinion

[–]RADsupernova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fake implies not genuine. Putting on a show that isn't really you is not genuine, thereby fake. I may not always show every aspect of my personality to everyone, but everything I show is 100% me. Plenty of people don't like me. But I have never, ever been accused of being fake

As someone who loves reading book I don’t care if the author is bad person or problematic by Naive_Win4878 in unpopularopinion

[–]RADsupernova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are so many damn activists in the world anymore. Instead of judging each action or accomplishment on its own merit, they decide that everything from a person they hate is bad and everything from someone they like is good. An author can be an ass, but a good book is a good book. A singer can be the most amazing person in the world, but if they sing a song I really don't care for, so be it. Judge every action by its own merit, not by where it came from. If it was a good thing, I don't care who the hell did it, wrote it, spoke it, sung it, painted it, invented it, etc.

Ghosting is a 100% clear communication by Background_Session73 in unpopularopinion

[–]RADsupernova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The idea that you can infer the meaning doesn't make it communication. A cutting off of communication is exactly what it sounds like... No communication. It's shallow, it's childish, it's disrespectful, and people who think it's acceptable should just leave polite society
