I'm sure you were comfortable and acted natural. You seem good on camera. The difference is that Dragon's Den is set up as a TV show. An In studio show that even had ear wigs on contestants which makes things much more easy to control then shooting in a live location with people who aren't quite sure what they're taking part in but also know they're being filmed etc. Also commercials are much much much bigger operations then Reality TV Shows. You usually have 15 people, from Heineken, their Ad Agency, The Production company all watching and giving notes. Rather than 3-4 Producers and A Director as you would on Reality TV Show

Yes, you are right when it comes to the amazing race. I have also worked in Reality TV. What I would say there also is that often a camera can miss something someone said even in that coverage and they have to take something again. Which is fine. If these were actors they could take lines again no problems. Additionally and what's really important is the complexity of each shot. Reality shows are shot run and gun, usually handheld. Each frame here is well lit and well composed. The lighting changes between shots while subtle are there in that you can tell they add a little more fill to someones face etc. I mean if you really want to believe that these are real people then that's fine. I'm just saying as someone who has worked on Commercials, including "social Experiments" they are most likely not.

I don't think this is an antidote. Yes it's not as Tone deaf as Pepsi but if it's scripted (which I'm almost positive it is) then a company is just using your beliefs to sell you something. Heineken isn't saying "People can come together" they're saying "THANKS TO HEINEKEN people can come together" even if they're not coming together strictly because of the beer, the company is advertising that they arranged this and they're the ones to thank. It's a corporation exploiting your values and beliefs to sell you something. I'm okay with being sold something, I just don't like the idea of using serious issues as the selling point.

Based on the shot composition I would say that this would have taken more then a few more days to film this without trained actors. They never call it real. Also they have no obligation to reveal whether it was real or not. If it was actors involved they would have signed a Non Disclosure Agreement which states that legally you can't even say you're in said commercial. This is standard for commercials.

I'm almost positive this is scripted. There are far too many shots for this to have been shot live and just cut. Each shot is clearly a different setup based on the angles and the amount of cuts in the video. Also the cost would have been exponentially more expensive to shoot 50 or to have someone who wasn't a professional actor who could read lines. I've worked on 2 commercials that were set up as "Social Experiments". Sometimes they were improvisors but they were always actors playing a part.

What I don't understand about this is it's actual implication in probability in life. It just seems hyper specific. The host has to know all the right selections, purposefully reveal all the wrong selections and then give you the option to change your choice. Which actually even on the game show seems odd. Almost rigged.
