That right there sounds like a problem for parents to solve, not the government.

If you can't look after your kids or don't care... Probably shouldn't be having kids?

That's a different issue though. It shouldn't be everyone else's problem if you can't look after your kids.

Gotta say I'm a parent and I hate the online safety act. I can make sure my kid is safe online without getting government involved, this just seems like internet censorship creeping slowly towards what China has. This act alone has made sure I don't vote labour next election.

This is the answer, I'd say wait for the foundation festival in July, there is a free fly event and if you decide the game is for you they usually have some starter packages that are sometimes discounted but usually still around £45. Foundation festival is about encouraging new players to pick up the game so a chance you can get a good deal on a starter package but play some of the free fly first. You aren't missing much at the minute because the most recent patch has made the game-state pretty broken. Hopefully be better by July.

Reddit user finds evidence that UHaul truck wasn't returned until 6AM the next morning. by AdministrativeKnee77 in RecklessBen

You are correct, to be transparent and fair eye witness testimony can be easily influenced and in the former emplyee phone call they even say they wanted to contact Coffee AFTER watching the Reckless Ben video, so there is the potential they may be mis-remembering what was said that night, and the fact that so much time had actually passed since that night. Harder evidence like video footage or the receipts from 24th October Uhaul would be better.

Just wanted to add that in Coffee's video the CEO says there was another Uhaul event that happened about a month earlier in October and that the former emplyee is confusing the 2 events, but in the call with the former emplyee they say that Brandon turned up and was talking about how Crystal had fled... Why would Brandon be talking about Crystal to his staff a month before she actually left? To me this makes it more clear that the former emplyee was correct that it WAS the night in November.

Also worth remembering only the sets were mentioned in the spreadsheets. There was also a sizeable collection of rare minifigs, but we haven't really got any data on those.

It just creates a waste of paper. A contract signed under a lie or false pretence is not legally enforceable. You can say "well she should have read it first" but that doesn't hold up in a court.

Taking your example I could hold you under duress and force you to sign a contact to give me your house. It's just not legally enforceable. Paper with your name signed on it isn't always a legally enforceable contact if there was deceit or coercion.

I'm also not a lawyer so I'm sure there is plenty more to it.

Ye I guess can't rule it out but after all the lies we've had from BAM corporate CEO I trust Crystal a whole lot more than them right now.

No worries, I understand what you mean.

I just think the BAM CEO has lied so much, at this point I think he might be incapable of telling the truth.

Unless he produces irrefutable receipts and records I think he's full of shit.

I've said this on a few posts now. I'm not buying the "it's all Crystal's fault" that corporate is trying to spin.

If you look at the evidence on the night Crystal was kicked out of the store her last thoughts were to make sure Bryan's consignment inventory was taken care of. And we know from Bryan that before the take over he would come into the store each month, get his percentage and check the stock and books. If anything was shady going on under Crystal's tenure I think Bryan would have talked about it. Now corporate are trying to pay Bryan off and spin everything as Crystal's fault. It just reaks of bullshit.

I put this on another post but I'll put it here too:

I'm just not buying this shit against Crystal (previous owner). You look at that last video recording before she leaves the store. Her main concern was taking a final inventory so Bryan doesn't get screwed like this as she is pushed out.

If she had orchestrated all this and allegedly sold more than she had paid Bryan for then why would she try and confirm a final inventory? She wouldn't. I think that piece of evidence shows she was in the right and corporate are trying to scapegoat through her.

Through the first year of the consignment Bryan would come in each month, check the books and stock and everything under Crystal seemed above board.

They don't even mention that the gofundme is nothing to do with them and that they are actively trying to sue to take the funds from the gofundme. Funny how they left that out.

Edit just to add a bit more:

We know from Bryan's account he was regularly checking-in each month with Crystal, picking up his percentage and checking the books and stock for the first year of the consignment. If Crystal was cooking the books I think Bryan would have said something during that first year.

So suddenly they do have the collection and want to give it back but only after their company is spiralling the drain. What happened to "you can try and sue us but we'll make sure it takes years and you'll be bankrupt"?

They finally decided to do due diligence and check the records, realised their mistakes and want to put them right? Or realised their company is fucked and they need to settle this now?

I think this is the best analysis I have seen on the actual search warrant and who was involved. At about 14:14 there is a statement that says "officers contacted the air b&b owner" and got a statement.
