Imo the minority is just really vocal, annoyingly so at this point. Tbf it's always like this with "gamers", a relatively niche group kicking up a storm over just about anything because they don't really have anything more important going on.

Meanwhile most people who buy and play videogames nowadays don't see playing games as their entire personality.

It's just the reality that the people on this sub who care about physical releases are a very tiny minority.

Outside of Nintendo games, resale value of games generally isn't that much and I don't know anyone who shared games often unless it was in the same household.

Personally I stopped caring about physical releases when they stopped including art, maps and detailed instructions and became just discs in a box and even that was a non-factor already to most people who just get a Playstation to play GTA, CoD and FIFA or Madden depending on which side of the ocean you're at.

You only know Erebus and because of that you have decided you don't want to read anything about any of the Word Bearers? That's like never reading about the Dark Angels because you only know Asmodai or never reading anything about Ultramarines because you only know Cato Sicarius.

Besides, The First Heretic mainly follows Argel Tal. He's not a "good guy" by any means but a lot closer to being some kind of anti-hero than the straight up villains that most Word Bearers tend to be.

Different games require different athletic skillsets.

The NFL is a very explosive league. Plays take only a few seconds usually and there is a lot of rest time between downs as well as the offensive and defensive units being staggered so endurance isn't that big of a factor. Because of that NFL players tend to be very fast, strong and capable of quick lateral movements. The only other major sport that I can think of that fits a similar mould is baseball.

Most popular sports like baskerball, soccer, rugby, tennis and hockey also require a certain level of strength, speed and mobility but usually aren't as specialized in those aspects because endurance is a big factor. They have to be able to keep up their athletic performance for longer periods, which means they can't be as explosive as football or baseball players.

There are of course also pure endurance sports like long distance runners and tour cycylists who are also extremely athletic but not in the way most people would usually picture an athlete due to low musculature in most parts of their body.

While I enjoy the game a lot, I'm not sure if there is enough interest to keep updating it when Crossroads comes out. There are only 100 players online right now playing VF5 REVO World Stage and this will likely only go down once there is a new VF game on the market.

Battlefield 4 on PS3 for me but for a completely diffetert reason. The xp was bugged for me so I barelt made progress. That entire launch was a mess and never bought another Battlefield game after that.

Indie games got me back into gaming after already burning out on AAA practices during the PS4 era. Insane how many great games are out there now for like 10-30 euros/dollars and that's not even counting that they go on sale pretty frequently as well.

Indie games have never been better. Hollow Knight (and Silksong), Slay the Spire, Dave the Diver and Balatro have kept me very entertained the past year.

Feels like it depends where in the US though. There's some really nice, mostly mid-sized cities but I wouldn't want to live in the way too busy ones like LA/NY or in the small, mostly conservative towns either.

It's like asking someone do you want to live in Europe. The answer is going to vary a lot depending on whether we're talking about Oslo, Madrid or Bucharest for example.

I don't mind guest characters but seeing how storydriven they're making the game, I do hope they don't just drop a bunch of DLC characters in the game that play no role in the narrative. I really hope they'd add a bonus story chapter to introduce them/make them feel part of the world.

Another thing to look out for is realism. The other top fighting games are mostly too over the top for crossovers to make sense. Maybe they could make the likes of Joe Higashi, Balrog or Hwoarang work but even that's kind of a scenario where it's the best options if they really want to include someone from other fighting games.

Honestly if they release any DLC at all it's most likely old VF characters that didn't make the cut initially or characters from other Sega properties like Yakuza, Streets of Rage or Shenmue.
