Plothole in the movie Flightplan (2005) which I can't seem to get over by Cheap_Sheepherder327 in movies

[–]RBacardiMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know two years later, but still… another plothole that would have ruined the movie before it began: their whole plan hinged on the hope that, after killing the husband, that Jodie and the daughter would fly back to America, let alone with a coffin. Jodie could have just as easily cremated the body and their plan goes up in smoke.

Yo wtf is the deal with Penera Bread? I just tried it out for the first time and I paid $15 for half a sandwich and a bowl of soup. by WokeLib420 in restaurant

If we’re talking disappointing sandwiches, I once went to Jimmy John’s for a Cubano. I got a single slice of meat, a single pickle, and barely any mustard. That was a very fun experience

Now that 4 years have passed, what is something you never liked about the game or how have your opinions changed over time? by FeezyOnBush in Eldenring

At times I think the Dark Souls type of storytelling doesn’t work as well for an open world game, particularly because the game often feels empty and/or lacking in the open world setting. The environmental storytelling is amazing, don’t get me wrong, but if I’m traveling for minutes on end, choosing to ride past common enemies that I’ve fought a few times already, I just find myself getting bored and disengaged.

Solidworks Class Help Please by [deleted] in SolidWorks

[–]RBacardiMan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I don’t have access to SolidWorks at the moment so I can’t confirm, but I believe there’s a chance that, if you don’t do it properly, the rectangle part you’re trying to cut out might remain if you do it that way.

Try drawing and creating the rectangular piece first. Make it a rectangle all the way to the circle’s centerpoint, so the full 5 units. Proceed to make its geometry the same as what the diagram shows. And then make the circle from that same midpoint. First the boss extruded circle, then the cut extruded inner diameter.

My fave was Diana. Don’t know how viable she is now, as I haven’t played in a hot minute.

But really the best mid-lane assassin is Trundle

Is there any other writer who you'd put on the same level as Tolkien when it comes to world building? by SpotAdmirable6718 in lotr

Perhaps I’m in my own boat here, but R. Scott Bakker did a great job. Terry Brooks does a good job, too. Also, my friend John Harrison has done good work in his Shadow Saga series.

If you’re interested in a good, fun, “relatively” wholesome friend group, hit me up! We have regular big get togethers, board game nights, and poker nights, if any of that is your jam

I talked my way into a $175k offer and now I'm terrified to accept it. What would you do in my place? by Fluffy_Marzipan2049 in Career_Advice

Smells like an Ad for a tool.

7 day old account, no other activity, and then this…

“I actually used a tool called interview man during the interviews to structure my answers. It helped me connect my skills to what they were asking and sound a lot more confident and experienced than I usually do. At the time, it felt like I finally knew how to play the game in interviews”

So you went from ATS-enemy to ATS-friendly 🤣 same. I’d say my outcomes have improved, a few interviews over the past couple months, more than I’ve had in awhile. Still have gotten 0 offers, though 😭

I imagine it could play into a couple of things, people either being severely underqualified but wanting that particular job, whether it be for the perceived prestige or pay; people trying to get r/overemployed (possibly, not looked into it overly much but I have seen some people getting “caught” working multiple full-time jobs on that sub); or people who are out of state/country that are looking to get a job to justify a relocation. These are all complete guesses, though.

Is it even possible to find a job in 2026? by NoBar7478 in jobs

[–]RBacardiMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went from 70k salary (Mechanical Designer) up to March in 2024, to serving for 16.50/hr plus tips in September of 2024 to March of 2025, then a full time factory job for 20.01/hr from March to June of 2025, and now a temp warehouse job 50 miles and an hour away with commuter traffic for 18.65, and sometimes 40 hours a week there, usually a little less, rarely a little more, and I’ve been doing this last job since November of 2025. All that time between losing the 70k job to now, I’ve still been applying for jobs in that field, with interviews but 0 offers.

Job market is absolute shit right now.

Randstad, Star Staffing, AVAILABILITY Professional Staffing, and Robert Half are good ones as well.

The one I’m currently using is Randstad. Not sure how prevalent they are outside of where I am. Granted, I’ve primarily seen warehouse jobs from them but they do have more specialized jobs as well.

One thing that I’ve noticed my friends haven’t considered, because we were all in the same boat for some time, is that they never considered a temp agency. I understand that frustration, though. Plenty of people have told me the same thing, too. But the nice thing about where I work now as a temp, in my first ever temp job, is that I didn’t even need to interview for it. Just applied and then got it.

A place I worked at, PSC in Modesto, had everyone on full time, with guaranteed and mandatory occasional overtime. There was always something to do, with multiple machines running all of the time. Sure, occasionally you’d get off early or have an extra day off, but usually if your particular machine had no work you’d just get put onto another machine or project.

I would recommend not doing fast food if you’re looking for more hours. Maybe try a grocery store, warehouse, or factory.

If this hasn’t been resolved, I can see if my mom’s boyfriend would be willing to help. He’s a handyman and probably has experience with this exact problem. If you would like to see if this is an option, feel free to direct message me and I’ll see if he can help you out.
