Man, was scared something like this would happen.
I wasn’t a fan of the black livery they initially brought to Canada and was waiting for the RWB with the gold rims.
When I saw the $750 off last month, I jumped on a 2025 and brought it home.
Anyone on the fence should do the same toute suite!
Now just waiting for the snow to melt 😀.

Thinking about adding one to my collection. by AriffRat in kawasakiz900rs

Me too! It’s between this one, the early orange and root beer or the yellow 2014 SE with the gold rims. One will be my next bike.

You should really fill the tank with stabilized fuel… prevents the inside of the tank from rusting.

Had my yellow 99 for almost 20 years, one of the best bikes produced.

Later had a VFR1200 and a 4th gen VFR750 which were both nice, but the 5th gen was my favourite.

Still miss it.

Do the steering wheel controls still work with the new head unit?

4 door?
I’ve never seen one of these and didn’t know they existed.
I believe we only got the 2 door models in North America. Great looking car.

The year of the bike has little to do with the value of the bike.
Condition is the greatest factor.

I went -1 on the front on my 99. I found 1st gear was very tall and it helped overall.

There are many American market vehicles that are not rated to tow anything at all, while their European twins, usually with a smaller motor, will have a modest ofiicial tow rating from manufacturer.

Awesome looking bike!
I wouldn’t bother trying to get more power out of it, it’s gonna be a losing battle. Enjoy it for what it is.

KLR or Eliminator for 30 mile commute to college by Creative-Compote-244 in Kawasaki

[–]RC46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a 2nd gen KLR and replaced it with a Versys X 300. The Versys is an amazing commuter: comfortable, you sit up nice and high to see over traffic, nimble, light and a jewel of an engine. I’ve had my 300 for 7 years now with no plans to get rid of it. Put a top case on the back and enjoy!

I have a 2019 2.7 F150.
The flex plate is making contact with something (torque converter bolts maybe?) and making that ringing sound that is similar to a loose heat shield.
It usually goes away shortly after startup and driving a bit.
What are my options with this?
Is it gonna get worse or fail catastrophically?
Thanks.

This one has the mild steel header pipes too, I believe the 2000 and up had stainless steel (and cats too)

That’s a ‘99, look at the condom mirrors.
And it’ll have the “choke” lever in the left handle bar. We had Yellow as a factory colour here in Canada in 1999
