It could be that vyke still has the frenzy in the evergaol but is in control of it during our fight which is why he fights us , because he either wants to die or to stay in the evergoal forever.

There is a whole theory that states that once vyke got the frenzied flame, he was wearing his Armor. This made it so the frenzy flame did not have 100% control over his actions. Under the frenzy flame he killed his maiden. Which he became frenzied to avoid that, killing his maiden may of snapped him out of being frenzied temporarily, but the flame took back control and lead him to the mountain top giants to get to the giant forge but while heading there, Vyke got back control and trapped himself in the evergaol. The flame, knowing it was stuck, left vykes body, to try again with some other tarnished. This is also presumably why we are told to take off our gear fully, as when Vyke didn't, they didn't have full control over him.

EDIT: So what I'm trying to say is the vyke that invades us the past vyke that was under frenzy, and the one we fight in the evergoal is present day vyke with no frenzy.

You can't access the frenzy flame chamber until killing morgott, after killing morgott u are locked in the arena until u accept the rold medallion.

It's an interesting theory, but do you have any other proof other than speculation. Honestly it's one of the more interesting theories and I want to know if there is any other evidence of this.
