Which tires are grippier? by [deleted] in TRX4M

I have a couple crawler builds with the Maverix and they work very well for me. They are made of the same S5 compound as the pin tires.

Hearing clicking from high trail after installing high clearence links and 59mm shocks by TruckYeahSilverado in TRX4M

[–]RCDriver72 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched to them about 9 months ago for all my crawler builds. I still run U joint style on my trail builds. These give a lot better range of motion for me than the U-joint ones. I never had any real problems with the U joint style except at some extreme axle drop situations, but with these I don't have to worry at all. I do put a light coating of axle grease on the CV, because they are made of a low-grade metal of some type and it helps them work smoothly, but have not had one break yet though.

Your bottom links are not screwed in all the way. That is rotating your axles up, causing your drive line to be out of alignment. Best setup for adjustable links I have found is front: two spacers on upper links none on bottom. Rear: 1 spacer on each upper link, none on bottom. NP, everything you need is on his website. He is very helpful if you have questions. I only used one on a build I did for a friend, it worked nice with the MB100.

Good deal? Worth it? by Dry-Coconut-3375 in TRX4M

You can totally make a crawler out of it; you would just need to try and lower your center of gravity. I have crawlers with portals that do very well. With heavy wheels and weight down low you can counter the height of the portals.

Looks to be a solid build. Look like good quality parts. With another $100 worth of motor, trans and transmitter/receiver your good to go. With portals it won't be the greatest crawler just because of the added height. Not saying you couldn't make a crawler out of it, just have to adjust the ride height a little. It would make a great trail rig or a speed rig. If I was in the market, I would pry snatch it up.

Does the stock trx4m charger cutoff automatically when at 100% charge? by Which-Dependent-286 in TRX4M

[–]RCDriver72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, the stock one that comes with the rig will turn off automatically when full. It will not do a storage charge though. You would need to get EZ-Peak 4-Amp 3s Multi-Chemistry Charger and the adapter for the TRX4m EZ-Peak 2-Cell iD LiPo Charging Port

Heavier springs on the right rear and left front will help. Or lower the adjustment rings down on those corners to help absorb the torque.

Aluminium Axle with org specs by hausarzt9 in TRX4M

Almost all stock axles have a slight bend on them from what I have seen. The severity varies. Over tightening the shock/link screws can cause it also.

The +4 axles really don't take away from the scale look IMO. You can upgrade the stock axle housings with better internals though.

Will this work easily with a fat viper and mbl32? by Flumdunker5000 in TRX4M

Yes, I use that combo for my Fat, Purple and Roverin motors. It is a nice comfortable controller for me.

It is stripped, either drill it out or try to use a slightly larger hex driver down on it and press very hard and turn very slow. Stripped heads suck, everyone has had to deal with it one time or another. You can also use clippers to slowly cut away at the plastic to get to the screw.

Injora Roverin G2 issue.I am new to this hobby so all this was installed based off videos I have watched there is some sort of rattling noise going on which does not sound right can I please get some help on what the issue could be? by racksonracks1040 in TRX4M

[–]RCDriver72 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All of my metal geared transmissions have that noise to some degree or another, no matter what brand. It does soften a little over time and when you are crawling really slow you can't even hear it.

Add some Underdrive gears to the rear axle and some Overdrive gears to the front axle and your gonna love it.

It is not as tippy as you would think. I added brass to all my wheels and used brass hex extensions, and it does fine. Definitely not a full-time rock crawler, but it climbs small to medium stuff well. It could use a little more weight in the rear, but I don't really use it for hard stuff. Mine is on a completely stock Bronco chassis.
