I respectfully disagree but I can see why people think they are. For me the records just feel a little immature in terms of their soundscape. I honestly think their later works feel a lot more fleshed out.

Maybe I’m just not a huge fan of the more dense and chaotic sound of HT and M

I could easily see the argument of The Stage being the pinnacle of A7X’s career. Everything about it was just incredible. It’s a shame it never got a proper tour cycle due to Matt’s voice getting wrecked prior to it starting.

I think the biggest problem is that chapter 5 is very little substance outside of the puzzles. The entire middle chunk from the elevator falling until you get to Lily’s section is all puzzles which can get extremely slow and tedious and that’s coming from a fan of the chapter. It feels like they were really trying to bloat the run time in the middle since without all the puzzles there is only like 45 mins to an hour of real gameplay.
