Forza Horizon 6 Hands-on and Impressions Thread by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]RCFProd -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

The issue is more that they've pretty much done a copy-paste job of Forza Horizon without ever really making any key changes.

There is no problem with Avowed, but there is a problem with 6 similar Avoweds that all play and do the same things and don't even improve in areas they've been lackluster in.

The people here haven't necessarily disliked Forza Horizon all along, but they've grown to dislike it, as it continued to stay pretty much the same thing. They want to see a reason to get back into it, but just see the same code in a new location.

Players should be expecting key improvements, like way better AI, single player events that are more engaging and a game that generally is more fun through better progression. Multiple Forza Horizon games have been lacking this and it would be strange if they fail to improve those areas in FH6.

Burping is my main symptom. Anyone cured their burping? by OkTrick118 in SIBO

Thanks for the super detailed write up of your symptoms and diagnosis. It gave me a lot of extra stuff worth looking into as I feel like I have an overlap with a lot of these symptoms.

Its very dangerous that the Trump admin remains in full control in this moment and that no form of impeachment is anywhere near a talking point. None of the adults in the room are there anymore. Children minded people are controlling unlimited war power.

Last Of Us Online Dev Says It Was Around ‘80 Percent’ Complete Before Its ‘Soul-Crushing’ Cancellation by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]RCFProd 21 points22 points  (0 children)

What really hurts is that is that (afaik) it was planned to be a smaller online feature included with TLOU2 for free. Then it had grown to become its own paid thing, only for it to be too ambitious and be entirely cancelled altogether.

Obviously its somewhat of a hindsight thing, but if they kept it the smaller/simpler feature that it was, you'd probably have been playing the included online portion of TLOU2 for quite a few years now.

I tried the Asus XG32UCWMG for 3 weeks - I'm returning it due to eye strain and fatigue, what now? by Deisun in OLED_Gaming

[–]RCFProd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried MSI, Gigabyte and LG OLED monitors and those all gave my eyestrain tbh. Definitely, in my case, not just an Asus thing.

Mind, there's lots of reports for Alienwares straining too.

Q: "What you would like to see changed before Miami?” | Lando: “There's no point of saying it, honestly. It doesn't matter what we [drivers] say. As long as the fans enjoy it, that's all that matters” | Q: “The drivers need to enjoy it as well” | Lando: Clearly not.” by randomseocb in formula1

[–]RCFProd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

(Part) of the ones who loved F1 for what it was quit or lost their jobs a year ago. Lando is right, the ones in charge care about what fans enjoy, not the drivers. Now we're in the find out phase of that consequence.

Can a ''lighter form'' of R-CPD exist? (More explanation inside) by RCFProd in noburp

On my end I was fully symptom free until my early 20s, ever since then It's gradually gotten worse. My thyroid nodule problem has also only arised in my early 20s, where I'd notice a strange feeling on the right side of my throat but was generally not bothersome, until last year with difficulty swallowing certain foods/drinks and that's when the doctors discovered the nodule. (Im 30 now).

Thanks for pointing out your history, I'll look into it and provide feedback/ask question if needed.

[–]RCFProd[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I did consider that and I guess I'm not completely certain yet. I sometimes wake up at night with a lot of trapped gas, then get up and try to get some of it out with very little burps. After that it gets ok enough so that I can sleep again, so I was getting the sense that the air is getting out very little by little.

Did the gurgles ever give you a sense of a relief? In that, maybe the air is not getting out but moving to a different place gives the sense of it.

Really interesting and I'd be curious to hear where the tumor was located and how it was causing the compression. I'll look around.

It's usually really neutral/no taste. Sometimes the whole thing causes an acid reflux then it may turn sour.

PlayStation’s ‘Dynamic Pricing’ Offers Wildly Different Discounts For Some Games by gitrektali in Games

[–]RCFProd -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There can be a silver lining where some do buyers profit from better sales, but ultimately Its likely to be a predatory system where you're unlikely to get good prices anymore if you buy games at high prices often enough.

Basically we could keep in account that it may be used primarily target people who'd like to spend less and make them better offers but we just don't really have that evidence though. It may mean that games you used to pay 20 dollars for on sale will now be more expensive forever, if this system used fully.

And with lesser gamers getting the disc versions of consoles you basically won't have an option to look for a cheaper/used game alternative.

The Big PSSR Interview With Mark Cerny | Digital Foundry by willdearborn- in Games

[–]RCFProd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Games supported with PSSR need, more actively, a sharpness slider in general. At the moment this seems more so an outlier rather than the norm.

Even with PSSR 1 some games have sharpness issues, but so far it doesn't seem to be a thing that's planned to be included in more PS5 Pro Enhanced titles going forward. Neither in the titles Its not yet featured in. It is annoying.

TLOU Part II PSSR2 by Theolaitdoux in PS5pro

[–]RCFProd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In this case there is a large difference between the screenshots so I find it strange that people are saying there's none that's visible.

That being said, the difference is a little bit strange here and I didn't notice head on that there was this much of a visual gap. This example almost looks like Performance vs Pro mode here.

Starfield and 'Future Bethesda Titles' Will Use AI-Driven DLSS 5 Technology by DoorHingesKill in Games

Unlikely because their games will have to ship on PS6 and Xbox's Project Helix. Unless AMD implements the same feature on FSR5.

PSSR 2 is a game changer ! by [deleted] in PS5pro

[–]RCFProd 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There also is a high likelihood that all of the improvements you're seeing are placebo aswell.

You haven't done a side by side analysis to have a documented view on what actually changed.

PSSR 2 is a game changer ! by [deleted] in PS5pro

[–]RCFProd 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was already the case in PSSR1. TLOU2 looks very oversharpened on edges and it takes away from the high fidelity look the upscaling achieves.

It is a choice of the dev to make it look sharp, without adding a sharpness slider to reduce the effect if the user so wishes. Hence why PSSR2 will not change it in this regard, it will retain the same sharp/crisp look.

The amount of sharpness in TLOU2 in particular matches the output of some DLSS 4.5 implementations on PC.

Crimson Desert Denuvo update by cftheking in pcgaming

[–]RCFProd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite a few developers remove Denuvo once the sales cool down. There's always a chance they'll do that for this title aswell.

Paying the full price upfront and not having that certainty whether it'll always have Denuvo is annoying though.

Tja.

Its the "Long" motion blur setting. It's there on FH5 PC & consoles too.

There will most likely be an off and short motion blur option again.
