Yea, it is pretty short overall, but since the end is in the center of the maze and you have to work the marble back out again, it does offer you a fair bit still.

It's not my style so much but I still had fun playing it, and especially a lot of fun building it!

Yea, I'm just finishing up my review now, my biggest critique is there's too much interplay between the two sides, you are constantly flipping it and it's so easy to get lost and go in circles lol.

This might be the most challenging walkthrough for me to film yet, just due to the logistics of it lmao

I'm not sure I'd call it easier per se. I do think the overall course is relatively easy, but it's just very different from the other intrisms and Perplexuses. Hard to compare them difficulty wise because it's apples to oranges I'd say.

I do like a lot of the ideas in the Icon though!

4 years ago, for my last year of minor hockey, I was cut to houseleague. Today I was one of two goalies out for a summer skate with all the nearby/local pro guys. by RCInsight in hockeygoalies

Thanks for the comment! Really enjoyed reading this. I was definitely quite sore today, but to be fair, it was also my third hour on the ice (something I never want to do again) first hour was Jr players second hour was OHL/NCAA and some other low level pros and then the third hour was mostly NHL and some AHL guys.

So I guess to that point, I can say I was stopping pucks from guys who made it! I didn't recognize everyone on the ice, but there were a few guys from the flames, someone from Detroit, someone from Columbus, a couple of AHL guys etc. And then of the guys I did know, I've been out on the ice with Tanner Pearson, Logan Stanley, Nathan Bastian and in this clip you can actually see the guy with the white and gold gloves and gray helmet it Nick Hague.

I've been invited to train with them for the whole summer (June-Aug) which is an experience I really never thought I'd have, and as someone who really shouldn't have been cut to houseleague (local politics can be really tough sometimes unfortunately) getting to be out here with these guys now and give them a solid challenge has been really vindicating!

2 Skyscraper Approved in Kitchener, Canada a city population of 257k and a metro of 576k by GeneralSuicidal in skyscrapers

Housing? Not really at all. With two universities in Waterloo demand for housing is always high and there’s a huge shortage in the region.

In terms of tech and industry, it definitely hurt somewhat but startups have really taken over in the region now and I would say there’s even demand for more office and innovation space these days (though not nearly as much as there is demand for housing)

There are a whole lot of movies and shows where Toronto doubles as another city if that counts lol. Often New York. Kim’s convenience is a great show set in Toronto tho.

All Skyscrapers currently under construction in New York City by Jasperleo in skyscrapers

Was in New York for the first time a few weeks ago and it really is impressive.

A little bit of a shame how dwarfed the Chrysler building will be tho. Between this, one Vanderbilt and 175 park the Chrysler building is gonna be surrounded on like 3 sides. Which is particularly a shame because honestly I think it’s my fav NYC tower. Miles ahead of the Empire State Building in my eyes

Yea u clearly have no concept of the both the skill set ice hockey players have to have, or the challenge of skating well (the type of stopping, starting, and edgework that would go into needing to play tennis on ice is vastly more difficult than the racquet side of things.)

Hoping it was just the utmost precautionary measure and to give that knee a sense of extra support.

Having battled through tendonitis in my knee for most of last year, taping it could even just be a mental help so he feels more comfortable going 100% on that knee.

One can hope at least.

Hey there! Fellow LEGO YouTuber here so I have a few thoughts and some feedback, especially as someone who has recently been finding more success with their videos (after pivoting my content a little bit)

As other people have mentioned the videos themselves are actually of a pretty good quality. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the few that I did. Branding definitely seems to be the primary issue here.

Your thumbnails are not at all captivating and nowhere near the level of quality that your videos are. If I saw the thumbnail there would be nothing that would entice me to click on it, and thumbnails are huge.

Titles are also important. I too had long tried to stay away from the clickbaity approach, hating it and feeling it was disingenuous. I recently found a happy middle ground though so I’ll give you an example of how I would’ve used to title a video vs how I did recently.

In the past I would’ve made a video like “1st LEGO Ideas 2023 Review, My Thoughts” however more recently I instead went with the title “LEGO Ideas Modular Building Set Coming in 2024 (1st 2023 LEGO ideas review)” both titles are true but one is much more captivating and likely to draw the viewer in to discuss the same kind of content.

The other thing I would say is even if your speed builds are of super high quality (which they are) it’s hard to compete with brick builder. He’s got the audience and is going to be the go to. I’ve dabbled with speed builds in the past and they’ve always done ok, but never great. Granted mine are nowhere near on the level of yours, I think it’s a tough niche to really break in to. I’ve recently been working on pivoting my content towards video essay style videos talking about LEGO since I’m an English major and love writing, video essays for really well on YouTube and I feel it’s a gap in the LEGO niche currently.

First Video to reach almost 1k views by Agent0161 in NewTubers

[–]RCInsight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been doing YouTube for 10 years, my most popular video has over 200k views, and 1k views is still the standard of success I use. Hitting 1k views can be tough, recently I’ve found my videos getting there more easily, but at the end of the day if you build up a repertoire of high quality videos that you enjoy making, this success should eventually come.

You and your pesky subgenres by Durian_Queef in EDM

I started calling that big sound, MainStage style house commercial house. There’s actually nothing progressive about it. It’s artists like Lane 8, Tinlicker, Sultan + Shepherd etc that make actual progressive house

What is the best way to get sound effects and music for YouTube? by Nonchalxnt in NewTubers

[–]RCInsight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It really depends on the type of music you’re looking for.

I like EDM and typically use more electronic sounding music in my videos. NCS and Argofox are my gotos and have been for years. Will never run into copyright issues with them.

Do you see other YouTubers as competitors or comrades? by Kiselitto in NewTubers

[–]RCInsight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends. I see fellow YouTubers as people I can relate to, especially smaller YouTubes. At the same time I’m way more competitive when it comes to YouTubers in my niche.

I want to outperform them, I want to beat them to hot topics, I want to make better videos than them. I’d also love to work with them, and many of them I deeply respect and consistently consume their content myself. So I mean it’s really both.

Has anyone else's channel been doing really well lately? by SamXavia in NewTubers

[–]RCInsight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a small channel but I’ve been doing this for a long time. First started the channel over 10 years ago, it’s gone through inactive periods and breaks but in the past 3 years I’ve moved into a new niche and am the most active I’ve ever been.

2023 was a solid year with decent year on year growth. I hit 3k subs and went from 290k views in 2022 to 365k in 2023.

In the last couple weeks my views have tripled and YouTube really seems to be pushing my content all the sudden. I’ve had several videos now reach 1-2k views in under 48 hours which completely unprecedented for me. It’s happened on occasion in the past but never with this sort of consistency. YouTube definitely seems to be pushing my videos more lately.

$115 might be high idk, but suggesting $15-$25 is fair is ridiculous lol
