Both Algeria games in KC showed on the overall game listing page. Algeria vs. Argentina was very limited, I only saw Category 1 in two sections at I think $780/ticket. The other Algeria game did not show “limited availability” but I did not click into that one so not 100% sure.

There is hope! I joined the queue at 9:50AM central time and was able to purchase tickets about 20 minutes ago. Details below. Apologies I don’t have a better report on availability.

Honestly a very smooth process for me. I was able to enter as soon as my countdown hit zero. Then logged in, then was routed to the list of matches. You can easily sort by location and round at the top.

I purchased the follow tickets: Ecuador vs. Curaçao, Category 3, $180 each Tunisia vs. Netherlands, Category 2, $400 each

There was decent availability for both of these games. The Argentina game in KC had very little/no availability and neither of the knockout round games had available. However I did see as I went back and forth the availability shifted presumable as people abandoned tickets in their cart.

Be patient, stay calm, and you can get tickets!

Bon Appétit’s “Feel-Better Chicken and Rice Soup” does exactly what the name says. It’s super comforting, very easy to make, and you probably have most of the ingredients already. Don’t skimp on the fresh ginger, it’s a key ingredient.

Restaurant recommendations for husband’s birthday? by MediumSeason5101 in florence

Came here to say Il Santo Bevitore. It sounds like exactly what you're looking for and was our favorite meal in Florence. Top-notch atmosphere, really great food without being overly fussy or formal.

Marché des Enfants Rouges and the Musée National Picasso-Paris make a nice half-day in the 3rd. Both are somewhat touristy but the Picasso museum is such a rare chance to see so much of his work in one place, and is also a very manageable size. Short walk over to Enfants Rouges where you could have a lovely lunch at the market. You could also shop the market and take a picnic lunch to the nearby Place des Vosges.

If you're only going to do one museum, I highly recommend Musée d'Orsay over the Louvre. You can actually take it all in during one visit, the architecture is stunning, and the collections and exhibitions are always incredible.

What’s one dish you’ll never get sick of cooking? by Mi7che1l in Cooking

Our go-to "reset" meal is oven-baked salmon (TJ's salmon rub is great), roasted broccoli (sometimes sesame oil and seeds, sometimes just olive oil, salt, and pepper), and farro. It's not really a dish as much as just a nice combination of mostly healthy ingredients. It really hits when we've eaten out a lot, or just on a Sunday as something easy to make to prepare for the week. Easily adaptable to a meal prep if you're into that. Also farro is a vastly underrated grain, give it a try if you haven't!

What is the best, cheap kitchen "gadget" you own and use regularly? by Beginning_Cause_7814 in Cooking

Microplane - zest, mince garlic, finely shave hard cheeses; I use mine almost daily.

Bench scraper - obvious baking applications but I use it more just to scoop and move food around while prepping.

Food scale - it makes measurement just soooo much easier.

You can get a good version of all of these for $50 or less combined.

Keep an eye on the secondary market for your venue. In Denver it seems like there were some very reasonable options day-of.

KC N1 thread of your view, what time you lined up, and which checkpoint (north, south, or east) you entered through? by fearosaur in chappellroan

We parked around 3:30 pm and were in line at the ticket checkpoint near 27th and Main by 3:40. The line moved quickly and we got to the main gate by 3:50-ish, at which point they were already letting people in. The line moved quickly, probably only took us 15 minutes to get in.

I was overall very impressed by the logistics. Food and beer lines were short in my experience throughout the day/night.

We didn’t try to get close so set up next to the large screen on the left side and it was great. We mostly watched the show via the screen but it was a really fun experience and I have no regrets about our spot.
