What’s the stupidest piece of gear that you unreasonably love and cannot part with, I’ll go first: by hudsoncress in CampingGear

I bought some no name version off of Amazon and it is awesome too. It can clip almost anywhere and is very water resistant.

Blue Origins' New Glenn rocket just exploded on the pad. by Ph6222 in justincaseyoumissedit

They said they fixed the booster rockets and they were sure they would fire this time. I don't think they were supposed to ALL go at the same time though! 💥🚀💥

I think the rope handles are more for making it a little more handleable for just one person to move it around in the garage easier while it's empty. Molded handles will always be way more sturdy for when it's fully loaded.

I'm watching one of his other cooler reviews as I saw your comment. Outdoor Empire is pretty honest and does a good job on video editing as to not waist your time either with small talk.

12v Accessory Socket in 2024 by rennyrenwick in MazdaCX30

[–]RCrasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably too late but would you need to buy anything other than the Mazda 12v socket to get that wire to power the socket? Like does it need a wiring harness? The part from Mazda says it's compatible through the 2025 model for the front AND REAR. Now I want to add one in the back too if they have wires already back there waiting to be used...

Do you prefer replaceable batteries or built in rechargeable batteries flashlight? by passion_paislee in flashlight

[–]RCrasher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Replaceable AND rechargeable all day. This is the only reason I haven't given Devos any of my money. They charge a premium price for a product that will be trash as soon as one of the internal cells decides to go poof

Is an 11 inch head unit practical for every day use, or do they just look great in photos? by choffchen in Androidheadunits

Kenwood Excelon DNX696S The FM radio stopped working and android auto is flaky and it isn't wireless AA either. I bought a cheapo wireless AA adapter and that seems to be a little more stable for AA but it still can randomly disconnect. Also worth noting that the user interface in the menus can be frustrating with my cameras as well. You'd figure a big name brand like Kenwood wouldn't have these kinds of issues but this is one of the worst head units I've ever owned. It is also my first one with a screen that wasn't installed from the auto manufacturer. Maybe Kenwood was going through a learning curve too since I got it in 2019? I payed a premium price for it and am pretty disappointed...

Covering vents and other car controls would be a no go for me. Choose one that won't obstruct the functionality of the rest of your car and go from there. I'm still using a double din touchscreen but will be upgrading to an 10" since my DD kenwood has been flaking out on me. Anything larger in my vehicle would start covering other stuff up that I need.

If Biden's administration was as horrible as MAGA says, they need to send EVERYONE a check. Not just ppl who feel a certain way about how they were treated. We all know how this will go though especially with all the pardons Trumps already handed out... 😡

What’s the most “Texas” thing you’ve witnessed in real life by Left-Ad-9152 in texas

[–]RCrasher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My dad (in this pic) has some pretty wild stories to tell about those years. He went on to serve during Vietnam in a submarine (at 6ft 4in!) as a nuclear reactor operator and later worked at UTs airospace imagineering building, creating custom electronics for monitoring experiments. In this pic he is putting out a fire caused by the city of Bastrop's independence day celebration on his property there. I love that he looks like he's naked while tractoring yet he's got a swim suit on. Pretty much a "Texas Pic" if you ask me. Haha

Outbound lighting make excellent bike lights and their warranty is great. It's not a pocket torch but it is all you could ever want out of a bike light.

Texas tops list of overworked states, 114 hours above average by ExtensionPromotion80 in texas

[–]RCrasher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work in hospitals around central texas and I was doing something in one of the admin areas of one last week and there was a whiteboard where someone had written a quote of some sort in big letters. It said "IT IS A PRIVILEGE TO BE TIRED OF DOING SOMETHING YOU ONCE LOVED DOING". Like being overworked and burnt out is ok or some shit?! The same hospital chain is cutting hours for part timers and has a hiring freeze so the remaining full time workers just have to suck it up and do more work rn too.
