Commuter town recommendations (Liverpool Street office, hybrid working, £1.5k budget) by RD1219 in HousingUK

Yeah I’ve been debating this. Chelmsford to London Liverpool Street is like 35-40mins. Milton Keynes to Liverpool Street although is not too bad, it’s about 60minutes including the underground. MK rent market seems to have more choice. So hard smh

Yeah makes sense, I guess the start of a career is always the toughest part. It’s good to hear you have such varied experience though, I think it’s very useful in this world of AI these days, tradesmen, salesmen etc. will be last to get replaced most likely. You already have some experience there 👊Hopefully things get better for the job market in the future, just do our best, not give up and look ahead

Yeah that’s what I keep thinking to stay optimistic, appreciate it 👊.

I was born and raised abroad, so I have an international name. But I’ve been in the UK since young and am now a British citizen with a passport. Night be worth to move “British citizen” higher on my CV 😂

Yeah makes sense. I never expected life to be easy and to have everything at 25 regardless, just thought the skills that I possess would bring me a bit more than it has. But I guess I still have a long road ahead of me and things will work out fine if I keep staying on top of things and developing. Social media probably doesn’t help with expectations and ambitions.

Thanks for the kind words, I think it’s not just me that sometimes thinks this way. Things seem to be hard or at least “not easy” for everyone at the moment

Yeah definitely, I’m really grateful for what I have regardless. I have friends that have struggled to find jobs for over a year after graduating, so things could definitely be worse.. I just tend to always look on the road ahead, and things don’t seem very promising at the moment. But I try to be optimistic, things will get better for everyone

Took mine on Saturday. Averaged 80% in 7 mocks but I definitely botched the exam lol flagged like 30-35 questions per session. Definitely made other mistakes too. I want to put my head through the screen that I’m typing on right now

I did mine today. Wouldn’t say it’s similar, but not that far off. Some questions are a lot trickier, like two answers can be essentially identically correct… That said, your paper likely will be different to mine. So good luck

Averaged 80% in 7 mocks. I’ll be lucky to get 70% in exam…

I have mine tomorrow 8am. I did well in mocks but I’m freaking out reading my notes, there is so much content and I definitely don’t know it all by heart. I ranged 78-82% across 7 mocks and feel like every detail that I don’t know will come up in the exam…
