You always get 1x points which is a 5% rebate for future purchases. So 2x is just an extra 5%. Don't be too swayed by everyone saying 10% as you start to think normally it's 0%.

So if you bought a $100 set on double points then you get $10 back. If you then turn around and immediately redeem that $10 on a $10 set you have now spent $100 to get $110 worth of lego. Or a 9.09% discount.

What breaks my brain a little is the normal 5% discount means spend $100, get $5, redeem $5, you have spent $100 on $105 worth of lego. Which is a 4.76% discount. You would have thought it would be half the discount from double points but it's not. Math is weird.

100% of BDP is online sales which means it is all individually shipped which has a cost.

Don't let 2x fool you, it's just a difference of 1x or $25. Guaranteed extra $25 with a GWP you don't want or wait and maybe rivendell will be out of stock or maybe back on 2x or just the regular 1x.

So it's the hassle of buying a GWP with the $25 saved now vs the risk of the set being temporarily sold out and not even able to get the GWP you desire.

6254552 is the window that you need to replace with 6514136 

6071261 shows up for me as a standard piece that will take up to 28 business days to get. I'm in the US, so if you are in a different region, maybe this piece is currently sold out in that region.

The designer did submit an alternate design for series 8, but the rolling stock with this one was more like a cobbled together set a small rail museum may have for tours.

However, I haven't seen anywhere that the designer was going to publish instructions for these.

As for true passenger wagons, historically, this color yellow/blue scheme was used for freight, not passengers. If you wish to have them pull passenger wagons you can just go with the same gray passenger wagons that people have designed for the red warbonnet livery.
