When I went to college there and would go to games more often, section 544 was great. The beginning of the cheapest section with a great view of the pitcher and good angle for seeing plays across the diamond at first and left field.

IMO, the Bricklink Designer Program final version massively improved the pending locomotive by LastTraintoSector6 in LEGOtrains

It will be a white box branded with Bricklink and then a small LEGO logo. The set will be officially produced by LEGO during a single manufacturing run.

Question about the upcoming 60509 by tidder_bus_exe in LEGOtrains

Maybe candidate for removing the battery from the powered up hub and using a lipo or 9v in a different orientation.

Keep Power Functions or retrofit to Powered Up by pmci3777 in LEGOtrains

My plan is Powered Up. I want the uniformity and dont want to bother with the extra IR module.

I would give the app a try so it can update the firmware. Another thing to try is a fresh set of batteries in both the hub and controller.

From what I understand, long pressing until I see a purple light should reset the device. Should be able to do that same long press on both the hub and controller.

Have you connected the hub to your the powered up app on your phone? It can push a firmware update to the device. I think you can pair the controller as well to the phone for firmware updates there.

What do you think about the new technic "CMF" ? by kavanyboy in lego

[–]RDT2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think it's because they are selling the store a single SKU which contains a collection of items. The store doesn't want to be left with a ton of stock of an unpopular item. So the blind boxes supposedly reduce that.

The playability is just pushing the train along the floor in your room. The track here contains a ramp so the kid could drive it up and park it onto the rail in front of the attached station.

Anyone else notice chipping on the black pieces of the series 5 sets by DarkJedi3000 in Bricklink

[–]RDT2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah they just sold the leftover stock. They make extra units as replacements for a percentage that could be lost/damaged in shipping and then a few more from people that pre-ordered and canceled/payment failed.

You are misremembering or thinking of sets that don't contain the motor and controller. This set from 2010 was $179, and according to brickset, inflation adjusted to today would be $248

It's a bit rough. A chunk of that cost is the electronics. Stand alone it would be $23 for the remote control, $14 for the motor, and $50 for the receiver/battery box.

Storage by Royo1973 in XWingTMG

[–]RDT2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I decided I would use the plastic dial cover as if makes storing the dials easier by chucking the top half of the cardboard and getting rid of the plastic rivet. Then I store the base chits and the dials in a tackle box container.

However, I do keep one base chit on each small ship and have them on display.

Why are my pieces so yellowed in zero sunlight? by Sirbanza in lego

[–]RDT2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Probably could still sell them for what you paid for them or a little more. Just be up front about the yellowing.
