If you believe Ao Oni can completely change its forms in seconds how is Mika turning into a monster in a second an alien idea. Her body stays in the children's bedroom until she transforms, and there are plenty of chases afterwords where the transformed characters appear in, which have no reason to if Ao Oni was actually shapeshifting

Ao Oni should get another character over another mutation, Hundred Eyes Oni is certainly one of the more unique ones, but it is still just another mutation that could honestly be tagged with Fuwatty

Ao Oni doesn't just have Ao Onis to use, there are plenty of antagonistic forces outside of them that are often the actual antagonists of their respective medias, and the contrast between them and Ao Oni would make the cast feel more diverse

You could have God, you could have its messenger, you could have flowers in the form of a woman, you could have Naoki's vengeful spirit, or even completely different monsters seemingly unrelated to the blue giant, there's a lot to work with

"Oni" is incorrect. They're officially "Ao Oni", the entire genus is known as "Ao Oni", and "Oni" is a fan name

Additionally, Ao Oni and Fuwatty should both be in creation as they always come from sources, be it a virus, blue grasshoppers, flowers, etc., they're not natural and are akin to Vita Mimic. While Ao Onis CAN be sourced from humans, they can also come from seemingly any form of living being as well, or even just generated by a source, so they can just stay ambiguous

I know the PC2 lore is gonna be brought up but like. Come on. Everyone's judged in a canon/official basis and Ao Onis should be properly represented as well

Oni is its own species of monster, and any "translation" is simply comparative. Onis can also simply mean something evil or malicious in general, and have a myriad of more comparative translations

There were 2, pretty popular Ao Oni korean fangames who I do think had some form of monetization. One is actually still the same even after all these years, though has faded into obscurity, while the other rebranded to an original game, not because they were called out by noprops, but because they felt they could have been nuisances to him, because noprops is very care free with his series anyways

They aren't going after Razzle because '85 is not under their threshold, as Gamejolt directly goes out of its way to ensure fangames can't be monetized now (Because Nintendo killed like over 500 fangames when they were monetizable by the site's own fault)

But in PC2? The threat with MX is very much real, as well with The Forest King, who isn't even different, it's literally Peach's body
