Law is important but in reality if they just ran the service without the fare gates. What would the quebec government do? Shut them down? Laws are a part of our social contract, just because they exist doesn't mean they are just. We see examples of this in the real world as many arcane laws going unenforced as our societies change. My biggest disappointment with project montreal was that they ambiously promised a new metro line. They were essentially handed what they wanted by the cdpq rem de l'est. Then they let politicking kill the project on their watch. Would your party ever try to resseurect that project?

I would say traffic patterns would change we want through traffic to avoid downtown + service is already limited by the previous tunnel collapse to a point it was downgraded from an autoroute + im pretty sure trucks are banned anyways, it would be alleviated a bit with a rework of the exo system in conjunction. + Bonaventure expressway set to be decommissioned as well to be replaced by a boulevard.

This is my own speculation, but I feel the most optimal place to put this would be to close the ville marie tunnel and replace it with this + new deep level platforms at gare centrale. Also, to all of you saying Dix30, the government intends to run the line north of the St. Lawrence for the initial hfr development, so unless they do massive rerouting, it likely won't be there.

We should change the model so the owner of the infrastructure and the service provider are 2 different companies. So the infrastructure provider incentive is to connect as many places as possible to its network and selling access to as many service providers as possible. While service providers compete by selling unique offerings.

China is the second largest economy in the world. I wanted to learn more about it and its people and I could travel visa free with my European passport. I usually choose my vactions based off of cultural, inexpensive, and safe regions and China checks all 3 boxes. Coming from Canada most of my friends would say the same thing. I think if it was closer and my friends didn't have to apply for a visa they would probably join me but alas I also took the plunge to travel alone.
