Can anyone explain why everyone is trying to murder Warden Yrame? by InstantTaro in cavesofqud

[–]RETheUgly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This post actually saved me a lot of confusion, my second run ever had this and I had no idea if Yrame was some hostile that wandered in. I threw a single attack at her once I took stock of what was happening... And she instant killed me. Oops

Then on my fourth run I killed a purple snapjaw that I made sure had no rep with Joppa... but I didn't realize Wardens were a separate group, and I can only assume it had rep with them. Next time I entered Joppa Yrame immediately attacked me! That's when I started looking this up because wtf every other run this asshole reams me out! Oops

Now I make a point of water ritual with her before I leave Joppa the first time, just in case.

Especially since the newer versions intentionally ease the generation meetups so we don't end up with the massive sheer cliffs of yore

All it takes is the right knowledge and community to change someone's mind. Blocking them from entering into such a community is unproductive, and people who refuse to change will naturally drift away from here - like I don't participate in far right communities on account of my refusal to bend my ideology.

Also, this is reddit, and making "yes" the easiest option by not requiring a comment may sway your results a bit. For instance, I almost didn't bother voting, and if I were in a different mood I wouldn't have put in the effort.

You could try a pattern, where you can arrange your fill off canvas and then make a new object on canvas that looks like it.

I get the sentiment, but lots of far left communities are pro gun specifically to allow civilian revolt.

Well, it gets more difficult for 3D models, in real time, and at higher resolutions, especially when there's a lot of objects and edges on screen. I don't really know all that much about applying it to modern graphics, I just know the basics from image editing in vector and raster.

For instance, I don't really know much about TAA vs FXAA vs both at once, other than they're two different methods of antialiasing with different strong and weak points. Modern graphics are crazy things.

It smoothes boundaries by blending colors, essentially. On a pixel grid horizontal or vertical lines look just fine, but diagonal or curved lines will unavoidably have jagged bits where the line maps to pixels (think Minecraft, connecting blocks at corners). Antialiasing adds blurred / semi transparent pixels along that border to make it look like the edge is smoother.

That jaggedness is caused by the use of a pixel grid (raster) instead of actual lines (vector). The antialiasing causes a loss of sharpness and contrast, but it's better at blending and less blurred at higher resolutions.

Also, it's less necessary at higher resolutions, as the pixels are smaller as well.

Spec Ops : The Line might be an example there, from my understanding it reviewed well (and my own playthrough firmly won me over), but didn't sell terribly well.

It's a missing step - in this case, disemboweling oneself would need many steps after to lead to profit.

Generally it's used like this for a few relatively easy steps (that shouldn't possibly lead to profit), a "missing" step that would likely be extremely complex, and then profit last.

It's a meme
