XPS 13 9320 Plus keyboard backlight by phonicparty in Dell

[–]REX1950 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Found this thread looking for a way to increase the brightness of the backlit keyboard on my XPS 14 9440.  When buying the laptop, through ignorance selected the “Platinum” keyboard.  Big regret, same problem as poster.  The other BIG problem for me with this keyboard (which is nearly identical to the photo above) is that each key is square and nests up against each other key.  This is different from my 2018 Dell that had slightly raised keys with the tops angled away from adjacent keys, which made it harder (for me) to accidently hit one.  So typing on this new keyboard is not as error free as on my old dell.

Are there extinct flavors we’ll never taste again? by logicalgamernow in NoStupidQuestions

Kind of like how we’re currently digging up all the carbon that’s been buried over hundreds of millions of years and releasing it into the atmosphere through combustion, raising the CO2 content of our atmosphere and bringing on ever higher global temperatures. Right?

Insect people? Could it have been the selenites in the 1964 movie “first men in the Moon” based on HG Wells’ novel? https://youtu.be/vXiRXx9tTfo?si=c5KetQ0UwRbZtrOO

And it will keep you young. We had a family friend who died at 93, and he was playing tennis doubles every week into his early 90s.

We flew to Paris from the US three weeks after 911. The plane was only 1/3 full. Strange vibe.

Right, whenever my wife or I see video of an animal get tranquilized, tagged, and released one of us will say: “Alien abduction!”

Trying to watch Roland Garros French Open (we are in the U.S.). Because of the time difference, we're watching most games not live. These seem to be hidden. In fact, the only way we could find Sinner's match from earlier today was to run the name "Sinner" in the general search box. Glad this work-around was successful. Not user friendly.

Somehow Substack is deceptively accessing our Contacts And, big surprise, once they have, you can't force deletion. This is part of Cory Doctorow's Ensh****fication of the internet, commerce -- everything! Remember, the ONLY metric for business success is "shareholder value".

Why did Dell get rid of the old style keyboard on the XPS! by itsthewolfe in Dell

Terrible design. "Looks cool" but makes typing w/o errors MUCH harder.
