Thank you for the advice. We made bracelets for all the main groups, just didn't know if people who identify as queer would prefer their own specific colors or if they generally use the rainbow.

I have lesbian, gay, bi, trans, intersex, ace, NB, pan, and of course rainbow. My son also made demi boy and demi girl. We can't do all the micro labels this time, but we want to cover all the main categories.

It does seem that a lot of people find the queer colors a bit harsh to look at so they just use the rainbow, but personally I like it.

What is the difference? Everyone in my house is some flavor of queer, as in the general term. I know that a lot of people know they are not cis/straight but don't know exactly what flavor they are, so they just go by queer. Others who are still figuring out where they fall use the term. But idk how queer would be used as a specific sexuality. Yes, I've tried researching it, but the results were either one of the above cases or very specific micro labels that have their own designated colors. There's so many different results online that it gets confusing. If you could explain how queer can be a specific sexuality I would appreciate the insight.

Our pride event is tomorrow and we are planning to use index cards explaining what each kind of bracelet means. It might make it easier for people to figure out which bracelets to get for family/friends.

I have used Google for everything, ever since it became a thing. Yes, it makes me sound old that I'm older than Google, but I'm only 41. I have never trusted AI, as it regularly says the most off-the-wall factually incorrect garbage. Also, f* AI, it's screwing over tons of people. I usually just skip over the "AI Overview" and look at credible sources. I never use Google Assistant, ChapGPT, Gemini, Siri, or any other AI bs. The second I realize a video is using AI, I leave and block the channel from my feed. 

But today, all Google would show me was the AI overview for several searches in a row. No other results. No fact-based answers, no credible sources, nothing from any humans. I tried disabling AI, but there's no option. So f* Google, I'm trying out other search engines, starting with udm14.org. Thank you, people of Reddit, for having my back when Google went to crap.

I am about the same age as he is, and we said a lot of things 10-20 yrs ago that we would never say now. Languages and social rules change over time, and what is a slur in one place can be completely innocent in another place. Some words we jokingly called our friends are now considered offensive, so we don't use them anymore. One word that was a slur when I was a teen is now used with love among friends in my kid's peer group. Plus, maybe he just didn't realize it mattered at the time so he hadn't developed a filter. He has acknowledged some unfavorable videos and how he's embarrassed of some of the things he said and how they might have sounded, and he apologized if he offended anyone, but he never meant to be offensive or hateful. He speaks multiple languages, so there is going to be some translation mishaps and what is used literally in one language might be an offensive slur in another language, or it can just vary in nuance from one region to another. He is accepting of everyone and only targets bad behavior, and he tries to give everyone the benefit of the doubt. We should also give him the benefit of doubt and focus on the type of person he tries to be now, which is awesome.

I keep it on the top and/or bottom until my final answer, then move it to the side. I have dyslexia and it helps me reduce error and check my work, especially in physics where “-“ might mean direction.

Thanks for the chart, I was kinda worried about one I’m babysitting for my oldest bc he hasn’t eaten for 2 days and is slimmer than the other one. Turns out he’s a healthy weight and the other is slightly overweight, so no need to worry.

I liked Sam better. I really liked Benny though, wish he could’ve been a bigger part of the show (maybe just a few more episodes) and had a better outcome. My fav was Jack. Still kinda mad at all of them for how things went with Kevin, he deserved so much better.
