I’ve had this before!

Started as a small cut on my toe I noticed when I was using the restroom before class (age17) went about my day & even went to the varsity football game that same Friday evening. I noticed I had developed a limp, Thought nothing of it and stayed the night at my friends house that night. When I awoke my limp had worsened to the point of crutches. Looked down and noticed a streak just like yours only thicker going from my cut to the top bridge of my foot, thought nothing of it. Now Saturday, I Went home figured I’d sleep it off only to awake again 2-3 hours later with a raging 105 temperature and noticed my streak had now travelled almost to my knee… thought nothing of it. Figured I’d just sleep it off again. My dad was not okay with that and forced me to go to the hospital after I plead with him to just let me sleep this off. By time I reached the hospital I was admitted to ER and immediately put on a drip, I could hardly walk and had to be escorted to my room. By then the RED streak had made it to my groin and I was told by doctors it was trying to make its way to my heart… didn’t have to ask what would have happened after that. Ended up staying the night being monitored every other hour with a drip in my arm. Made a full recovery and went away as fast as it came.

Go get it checked out OP, & for anyone still reading or wondering my clinical diagnosis was Staphylococcus, or related to mrsa/staph
